Jonathan Landes, the Subsea President at #TechnipFMC, expressed the company's excitement: "We have a longstanding relationship with #BP, underpinned by close collaboration. This partnership, combined with our robust installation and execution capabilities, enables us to meet BP’s schedule to extend the production in the Mad Dog field." BP initiated production from #Argos in April 2023, marking its fifth production development in the Gulf of Mexico, operating in water depths of 1400 meters. Argos is a pivotal component of BP's Mad Dog Phase Two project, aiming to extend the life of the supergiant deep-water field discovered back in 1998. With five platforms in operation, including Atlantis, Mad Dog, Na Kika, Thunder Horse, and now Argos, BP continues to make significant strides in the US Gulf of Mexico. Equinor awards KCA Deutag over $450 million of drilling and maintenance contracts KCA Deutag, a leading drilling, engineering and technology partner, has secured new contracts and extensions worth a total value in excess of $450 million from Equinor in Norway. In addition to a four-year extension for their existing contract scope covering five platforms across the Oseberg and Kvitebjørn fields, KCA Deutag has also been awarded additional work to deliver drilling, maintenance and engineering services to a further two platforms. The additional scope, covering the Njord and Heidrun platforms significantly strengthens KCA Deutag’s presence in the Norwegian North Sea where the company also has a separate agreement with Equinor for the management, operation and maintenance of the Askepott and Askeladden Cat J jack-up rigs.
