Are you ready to transform your home into a modern sanctuary? At Ongrid, we specialize in turning cookie-cutter spaces into personalized havens. Let’s take a glimpse into our recent project with the Patwari family in Mumbai. They sought to renovate their compact 3BHK apartment, and we were thrilled to guide them through the journey. Facing the challenges of a boxy layout, restricted natural light, and limited functionality, we worked closely with the Patwaris to envision an open-concept style that maximized both space and light. By removing unnecessary walls, we connected living areas and created multifunctional zones that adapt to their lifestyle. Our approach included: - **Open, Airy Layouts**: Enhancing airflow and light with a cohesive design. - **Multifunctional Zones**: Crafting flexible spaces that meet evolving needs. - **Personalized Solutions**: Designing custom features aligned with the family’s tastes. - **Smarter Lighting Design**: Strategically placing lights to optimize energy use. Through thorough consultations and expert guidance, we established a cohesive strategy that transformed the living environment while maintaining practical functionality. If you're looking to unlock the full potential of your space, reach out to us today. Let's realize your vision together. #PraxisinMedia India's interior design market is experiencing rapid growth, fueled by urbanization, rising incomes, and a strong demand for modern living spaces. 🗞️ In a recent feature in Mint, Mit Desai, Practice Leader, Consumer and Internet at Praxis Global Alliance, emphasized the significant opportunities within India’s $30B interior design market, where the organized sector is expanding at a 12-14% CAGR. He cited that leading renovation providers like Livspace, HomeLane, and Bonito Designs are catering to urban millennials and first-time homeowners, capturing around 20% of the market share. While metros and Tier-1 cities are nearing saturation, Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, which account for 30-35% of demand, present immense growth potential. However, scaling operations across diverse regions brings challenges in maintaining quality and addressing skilled labor shortages, making strategic investments in innovation and localized services essential for sustained growth. Exploring the Old Streets of Ahmedabad: A Study in Urban Design As part of our group project, we explored Old Ahmedabad, analyzing key urban design principles—Visual Aesthetics, Ergonomics, Enclosure, Permeability, Proximity, Circulation & Movement, and Scale & Proportion—through real-world observations. From the visual charm of heritage facades to the ergonomic design of street seating, we saw how urban elements shape daily life. The enclosure of narrow lanes, permeability of doorways, and proximity of mixed-use spaces all contribute to a dynamic, walkable environment. Observing circulation and movement, we studied how people and vehicles interact in these organic streets, while scale and proportion reinforced the intimate character of the city. This project deepened our appreciation for human-centric urban design and the timeless wisdom embedded in historic cities. How do you see these principles influencing modern urban spaces? #Design #CreativeDesign #DesignInspiration #DesignThinking #DesignLife #ArtAndDesign #InteriorDesign #Architecture #SpaceDesign #HomeDecor #ModernDesign #SustainableDesign
