Pogosticking can make or break your Google rankings. Pogosticking happens when someone clicks on your website from a Google search, but quickly goes back to the search results to find something better. This tells Google, “I didn’t find what I was looking for here.” If people are doing this a lot, Google might think your site isn’t helpful, which could hurt your rankings. How to Keep Users on Your Site Longer Use Bullets and Subheadings: Break your content into easy-to-read bullet points and clear subheadings. This makes it simpler for visitors to scan your page and find what they need. Make Your Content Easy to Read: Organize your content so it’s straightforward and pleasant to read. A clean, well-structured layout helps keep people from hitting the “back” button. Improve User Experience : Focus on creating content that truly helps your visitors. The better your site meets their needs, the longer they’ll stay. By making these changes, you can reduce pogosticking, keep visitors engaged, and possibly boost your Google rankings.

🔎 Noticed anything different on Google results pages lately? 🤔 Continuous scroll is gone, and we’re back to the classic paginated Google format. So what are the impacts? Here’s what you can probably expect (with one BIG caveat to keep in mind): 📉 Clicks will decrease for content not organically ranking within the top 10 or so spots 📉 Impressions will also significantly decrease for content that now appears on Page 2+ The caveat: If your page isn’t ranking on Page 1 yet, it’s likely not generating many (or any) leads for your brand—the ultimate goal of snagging those impressions and clicks in the first place. Remember, nurturing and converting your engaged visitors pays your bills—simply growing surface metrics like impressions and clicks does NOT. A holistic strategy anchored by rich, user-centric content will help you get the ranks that drive real business results. 🔮 Our long-run prediction? For many sites, the end of continuous scroll will be more of a radar blip than a torpedo. What do you think? Have you seen significant changes in clicks or impressions since the shift back to paginated Google results? #SEOnews #B2Bmarketing #Googlenews
