Why has OnlyFans become such a hub for comedy? 🤣
Because it gives ‘artists freedom to say what they want and to be controversial and to have a point of view’ says OnlyFans CEO Keily Blair.
And this allows comedians to ‘recreate the environment of an actual comedy club’ says OnlyFans creator Whitney Cummings. 🎭
The pair chatted to Ashley Carman at Bloomberg Screentime about what sets OnlyFans apart when it comes to connecting creators to their fans.

My reasons for co-creating an improvised stand up show.
One of the hardest parts of doing stand-up, is believing that you're funny. At least for me. I'm not a performer, I shy from attention. But I always liked making people laugh, cutting through tension or finding an interesting relationship between two disparate concepts. It's the best.
But was I funny? A way of truly testing that, for me, was to see if I could make people laugh, with no prepared material. No clever phrasing or preplanned misdirection. Just straight thoughts from the dome. And then we threw some dice in the mix and audience suggestions for the added chaos.
The fact is, and the LinkedIn style learning moment which I think is worth relaying is: sharing true vulnerability with an exploration of your POV is always at least kind of funny. My best set was 5 minutes exploring why I hated Pandas for their self defeatist attitudes, and the WWF picked a terrible spokesperson.
The truths that we hold to be self evident rarely are, and it is the stories that we tell ourselves that are the most entertaining, relatable and humorous. So, be vulnerable, share your world view, and connect. And go to the Dice Show in this year's Comedy Fest. Tickets available now!
