The Fourth of July is a day to celebrate freedom and unity. At ONO, our team knows how to make it unforgettable, wherever they celebrated. Some of our colleagues cheered as the boom of Boston's iconic fireworks echoed off our Cambridge office building. Others soaked up the sun at the beach, cheered at small town parades, or marveled at majestic vistas out West. Wherever we were, the joy of the day brought us closer together as we honored America's birthday in our unique ways. We hope you had a safe and relaxing holiday, too! #ONOPHARMAUSA

Dynamic Public Affairs and Strategic Advocacy Leader/Experts in Governmental and Institutional Relations/• Experienced Association Organizational Leader/Strategic Alliance Architect/ Innovative Organizational Strategists
🌟 Thrilled to Share My Experience from The Good Lobby Summer Academy! 🌟 Just back from three transformative days in Bilbao, I am excited to reflect on my participation at The Good Lobby Summer Academy. This event brought together thought leaders in public affairs, sparking intense discussions and valuable insights into the efficacy and ethics of business associations in the public sphere. 🔍 Key Insights: - We delved deep into the concept of the 'political footprint' of companies and associations, a timely topic given the current global trends in polarization and legislative challenges. - One significant takeaway was the impact of associations on the democratic legislative process. There’s a fine line between influence and interference, and it was enlightening to examine this in the context of public affairs. - We also tackled the common misperceptions about the influence of trade associations. Often seen as powerful entities, the reality is that many struggle with resource limitations and the challenge of consolidating diverse member interests into a unified voice. 📈 My Contribution: I was fortunate to contribute my insights on how business associations can navigate public affairs with efficacy and ethical integrity. Discussing these topics with peers was enriching and highlighted the crucial role of transparency and the recognition of trade associations as legitimate stakeholders in public discourse. 🤝 Looking Forward: The discussions left me with mixed feelings about the polarization in public affairs—both challenged by the complexities and inspired by the potential for positive change. Such platforms must exist to amplify diverse voices in public affairs, ensuring a balanced and comprehensive understanding. Thank you to The Good Lobby for a fantastic opportunity to grow, share, and connect. Let’s keep the conversation going and continue to drive meaningful change in the world of public affairs! #PublicAffairs #TheGoodLobby #SummerAcademy #EthicsInBusiness #PoliticalFootprint #Bilbao2024 #ProfessionalGrowth #Networking

Part 6A : Chapter 6: The Mosaic of Coexistence Culturally, the Mosaic of Coexistence was perhaps most visible. Festivals, art exhibitions, and performances showcased the rich tapestry of cultures that made up New Zealand’s identity. These events were more than just celebrations; they were acts of mutual recognition and respect, opportunities for individuals to share their heritage and, in turn, to learn about others. In this period, the narrative of New Zealand was no longer about integration or adaptation but about the celebration of each unique piece that contributed to the nation’s whole. It was a recognition that the strength of a community lies not in its homogeneity but in its ability to nurture and celebrate the individual pieces that make up its mosaic. The Mosaic of Coexistence underscored a profound truth that had emerged from New Zealand’s journey: when diverse communities come together, united by shared values and mutual respect, they create a society that is resilient, dynamic, and enriched by the breadth of its citizens’ experiences and perspectives. This chapter of New Zealand’s story was a testament to the beauty and potential of human diversity, woven together into a single, harmonious society.

Don’t know much about Kalamazoo, or think it’s just a run-of-the-mill small Midwest community? Please listen to this and give me the chance to convince you that my community is an amazing place! Can we boost our cultural attractiveness? Both Danes and Swedes like to emphasize, and often make fun of, the more or less significant differences between our cultures. From the outside looking in, however, we are also very much alike, and just as fish can’t see water, we are often blind to elements of our own culture, because we take norms, habits, and social practices for granted. One such element often highlighted by foreigners living in both Denmark and Sweden is that it is considered hard to make friends with Swedes and Danes, which in part affects our ability for talent attraction and retention. Do they have a point and if so, what could we do about it? This question was the source of inspiration for the latest MVA chairman column, by Niels Abel Bonde, which we hope you will enjoy. Feel free to comment!! https://lnkd.in/ddSuAQ9a
