We have the potential to save the lives of 150,000 babies annually—or the lives of three babies a minute. All that’s needed is a mother’s touch. I’m excited to share the story of Dr. Nitya Wadhwa who, through collaborative teamwork, sought to prove that it’s impossible to separate the mom from the baby, because they are truly one. Immediate Kangaroo Care (iKMC) is transforming the way we care for preterm babies and their mothers. By implementing skin-to-skin contact, infant mortality has been proven to be reduced by 25% and we have the capacity to save even more lives. Learn more about how Dr. Wadhwa is working with doctors, nurses, and mothers to guarantee that families have access to this life-saving technique:

Dealing with Pediatric patients embody a unique blend of innocence and resilience that profoundly impacts their healing journey. Their innocence is characterized by a pure and unfiltered perspective on life, often manifests as a remarkable capacity for joy and wonder, even amidst illness. This innate positivity can be a powerful force in the healing process, providing both emotional strength and motivation to endure challenging treatments. Children’s natural curiosity and imagination can transform hospital stays into adventures with play becoming a therapeutic tool that aids recovery. This playful spirit not only distracts from pain but also fosters cognitive and emotional development which is crucial for holistic healing. I as a Physiotherapist while dealing with Pediatric patients often harness this by integrating play therapy, art, and storytelling into my care practices, creating an environment that feels less clinical and more nurturing. Moreover, the strong bonds children form with their caregivers can enhance their sense of security and well-being. These relationships built on trust, empathy and are vital as they help young patients feel supported and understood. This emotional support, combined with medical care, significantly contributes to their recovery. Ultimately, the innocence of pediatric patients serves as a beacon of hope and resilience, reminding us of the profound impact of positivity and human connection in the healing process. #pediatricpatient #Clinicalpractice #Pneumoniapatient #Physiotherapist #innocenceofchild #Healinginprocess #Hospitaldiaries #Wardpostings #evidencebasedreasoningpractice

Revolutionizing Pediatric Care - The healthcare landscape is evolving rapidly, and with it, the modalities through which we deliver critical care to some of our most vulnerable populations—children. As healthcare professionals, we are acutely aware of the unique challenges presented by pediatric care. It is not just about managing an illness; it's about creating an environment that is least disruptive, most comfortable, and offers the warmest embrace to healing for our young patients. This is where virtual visits come into play, and they could very well be one of the monumental shifts in improving pediatric healthcare outcomes. Learn more about partnering with myphysician360 to offer virtual visits to your patients. By doing so, we not only uplift the standards of pediatric care but also broaden the horizons of what healthcare can offer. www.myphysician360.com #telemedicine #telehealth #parenting #doctors #physicians #physician #medicaloffice

Observations in the making 🕵🏼♀️ Separation of mother and infant is (unfortunately) still current practice in most neonatal intensive care units worldwide. As a second study within my PhD I will explore separation and closeness practices in a neonatal intensive care unit, with a particular focus on the separation period and the first encounter between mother and infant. By shedding light on these practices, I hope to contribute to a better understanding of how we can improve neonatal care with the implementation of couplet care 👶🏼 #Coupletcare #Zeroseparation #NICU

🚨⚠️New Project Alert⚠️🚨 NEONATIX ᴛₕₑ 𝒻ᵤₜᵤᵣₑ ₒ𝒻 ₙₑₒₙₐₜₐₗ 𝒸ₐᵣₑ ᵢₛ ₗᵢᵥₑ Most new born infants, particularly those born underweight or with health complications, require specialized care in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU). Unfortunately, the manual monitoring process in NICUs can sometimes fall short, leading to potential negligence from staff or nurses. This can have severe, sometimes tragic, consequences for the infants. This is where our innovative approach comes in. We provide an advanced automated monitoring solution for new born infants in NICUs. Our solution is designed to enhance the quality of care and significantly increase the chances of saving these precious lives, ensuring that every infant receives the attention and care they need without the risk of human error.
