How inspiring! Using setbacks as a catalyst for growth and having a firm belief in your own potential can pave the way for achieving great things
Exactly 2 years ago, I was fired from my dream job. The job that my entire law school courseload, conference history, and summer jobs had been designed around. To this day, I remember the words the HR Director uttered to me. “You want to grow too quickly - we don’t see that path for you here.” These words were the greatest gift that anyone ever bestowed on me. The HR director set me free from a future of slogging away in a backroom, drafting assignments that didn’t leverage my strengths, and being mentored by people who didn’t understand how brilliant I was. Because, of course, I’m brilliant. Everyone is brilliant at something. I just needed to create an environment where my strengths could shine. Now, I help people like me - immigrants - those who are seekers of better futures than the histories we’ve experienced. I’ve built a team of truly hardworking and kind individuals who teach me something new every day. And I trust myself enough to take on the toughest files. And I usually win on them too. So the next time someone tells you that, they don't “get you.” Recognize that statement for what it is - a gift. The gift to set yourself free from a dead-end environment. The gift to create a better future. #onwardsandupwards #inspiration #anniversary #entrepreneurship #immigrationlaw #freedom ———------------------------------- 👋 Call me Yameena! Recent Express Entry Draw: Focus on CEC Candidates In a notable development, the latest Express Entry draw has once again targeted the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), issuing 5,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) with a cutoff score of 510. This represents a slight decrease of 5 points from the previous draw, which suggests that there are a significant number of candidates with very high Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores. Key Observations: A. CEC Focus: The draw's emphasis on CEC candidates continues, indicating a strategic approach to addressing the backlog and potentially favoring candidates with Canadian work experience. B. Cutoff Score Trends: The minimal drop in the cutoff score might reflect the high number of candidates with elevated CRS points, highlighting a competitive pool. C. Future Draws: It will be intriguing to observe how upcoming draws unfold in terms of both frequency and size. There seems to be a backlog of Federal High Skilled (FHS) non-category applicants, who might be invited in future draws, particularly as many of this year’s general draws have focused on provincial nominees. D. Current Pool Dynamics: There are still approximately 7,500 candidates in the Express Entry pool with scores between 501-600. This number is expected to grow as new profiles are added each week, potentially impacting future draw trends. What’s Next? The immigration landscape might see shifts as the draw types and frequencies evolve. Keeping a close eye on upcoming draws and pool statistics will be essential for anticipating changes and advising clients effectively. https://lnkd.in/d7VmSjDV
