In museums, the quality of lighting is crucial to showcasing exhibits in their best light. LED lighting offers superior light quality, ensuring that colors are vibrant and details are crisp, enhancing the overall visitor experience. Additionally, LED systems provide the flexibility to customize color temperature, allowing curators to set the perfect ambiance for each exhibit. This adaptability not only highlights the artifacts but also contributes to the storytelling aspect of museum displays. By choosing LED lighting, museums can ensure that their collections are presented in the most visually appealing and protective manner, preserving the integrity of precious items.

How we broke a world record and sent the World’s Largest Art Exhibition to space… Breaking records is exciting. Breaking records in space? Unforgettable. 🚀🎨 Send My Stuff to Space recently had the privilege of sending the world's largest art exhibition to the upper stratosphere. We launched a gallery of original pieces by talented artists, capturing their work 120,000 feet above Earth. This exhibition didn’t just set a new world record—it also changed the way we think about where art can go and how it can inspire. Realising this vision involved careful planning, precision engineering, and a unique approach to showcasing these pieces in an environment few have seen firsthand. By taking art to space, we didn’t just capture stunning footage—we created a moment that speaks to the limitless possibilities of creativity. The World’s Largest Art Exhibition, floating above the planet… what else can we take up there? www.sendmystufftospace.com #ArtInSpace #WorldRecordArt #BeyondEarthArt #StratosphereExhibition #InnovativeCreativity #SpaceGallery #WorldsLargestArtExhibition #WorldRecord

Why Customized Products Matter for Museum Stores Currently traveling in Europe, I’ve been amazed by the cool and unique products that some museum stores are offering. It’s inspiring to see how these stores are not only showcasing their museum’s art and history but also creating lasting connections with visitors through custom items. Customized products—from pencils and erasers to magnets and keychains—serve as more than just souvenirs. They are an opportunity to tell your museum’s story, align with exhibitions, and offer visitors something truly special that they’ll remember long after their visit. At MPBARCELONA, we specialize in high-quality, customizable products that reflect the identity and mission of your museum. Whether it’s a unique pencil or a custom magnet, our products give your visitors a way to carry a piece of your museum home with them. Being in Europe has reminded me how important it is for museum stores to offer something distinct. Custom products are a great way to make your store stand out and enhance the overall visitor experience. #MuseumStore #CustomizedProducts #MuseumGifts #Art #Branding #VisitorExperience #TravelInspiration

To say museums receive a lot of foot traffic is an understatement! 🚶🚶🚶 We recently rejuvenated heavily soiled flamed granite near an entryway of a popular museum. Our team executed a deep clean and applied a color-enhancing matte sealer for increased protection while preserving the integrity of the natural stone. Looking for results like these? #CaseStudy Have you ever wondered what's behind a museum renovation? We're excited to share our first Case Study on the project we've been working on since 2021 for the Rovereto Civic Museum Foundation (Fondazione Museo Civico di Rovereto). Our contribution has included staff training, a gradual reinstallation of all museum galleries, and the development of a new interpretive apparatus. It has involved various roles and skills from the We Exhibit team in the development of: ~ Exhibition Design: reinstallation of the museum's exhibition spaces and renovation of the interpretive apparatus to improve accessibility and engagement; ~ Workshops: training staff on accessibility, communication, interpretation, and evaluation issues to facilitate smoother comparison and exchange during the redesign phase. 🔍 The Hidden Work Behind Museum Walls: More Than Meets the Eye 🏛️ As museum professionals, we often talk about the exhibitions we create and the visitors who experience them, but what happens behind the curtains is equally essential to the museum's success. From cataloging artifacts and conserving precious objects to curating engaging content and designing immersive experiences, the "behind-the-scenes" work is the backbone of every museum. The hours spent on research, collections management, and logistical planning ensure that every exhibit is well-organized, informative, and impactful. But perhaps most importantly, it's the passion and dedication of the people behind the scenes that truly bring a museum to life. Without them, the stories we share with the world would never come to fruition. 🙌 Let’s take a moment to appreciate the hard work and tireless efforts of everyone who makes the magic happen before the doors open to the public. It’s not just about what’s on display—it’s about the countless steps taken to preserve, interpret, and present our shared heritage. Temporary thematic exhibitions are among the best examples of when virtual exhibition spaces are truly indispensable. These carefully curated displays often bring together masterpieces from museums and private collections across the globe. Organizing such exhibitions—especially on a large scale—requires tremendous effort from curators, and rightly so. They earn widespread acclaim from critics and captivate audiences with their brilliance. But here’s the challenge: they are fleeting. In just a few months, the exhibition ends. The artworks return to their respective homes, often not to be reunited for decades—or perhaps even centuries. A virtual exhibition offers a transformative solution. It faithfully replicates the physical experience of a temporary exhibition with one remarkable difference: it lasts forever. As long as there is someone eager to explore its masterpieces, the exhibition remains alive, defying the limits of time and geography. See it for yourself. Directly in your browser—no downloads, no apps required. The exhibition "Various Fairy Tales". 15 prominent contemporary artists, recognized in museums and private collections worldwide. From Museums to Cities: How Urban Art Transforms Landscapes Public art has undergone a cultural migration in the past 50 years, from museums to city streets, transforming urban landscapes and engaging directly with the public. Works like Maurizio Cattelan’s The Finger in Milan, Anish Kapoor’s Cloud Gate in Chicago, and Jeff Koons' sculptures in Bilbao exemplify this shift. These pieces are not just art—they are symbols of identity, public engagement, and urban renewal. It’s about creating spaces for everyone, where art blends seamlessly with the environment. We tend to assume that museums are one of several groups of things that in some way belong to us all - part of our ‘commons’ perhaps. It’s only when stories like this hit the news that we wake up and realise that they and their collections are often just private property. A registered museum would have policies in place for handover to other institutions. I don’t know what the status of the Shipwreck Museum is, nor what the famous landowner’s motives are. What safeguards would put the ‘myth of the commons’ into reality? How do other cultures manage this kind of thing?
