Warning to all of my recruitment buddies, this post is not meant to offend!!! I get asked on a daily basis how employers can engage with our students and graduates. It is refreshing to see that industry experts are keen to nurture and develop home grown talent. Well, the answer is we have a team of experts who deal with employer to student engagement, in various forms. What is available? 👍 You can exhibit at our student career fairs 👍 You can advertise job vacancies with us directly 👍 You can register for access to our jobs board, as an employer 👍 Once accepted, you can upload as many vacancies as you wish 👍 All vacancies are visible to our students and graduates What's more, there is currently NO CHARGE for the above services 👍 Register at: https://lnkd.in/e2dbtQRU Click on: ‘Are you an employer – Organisation sign in’ then, click 'register' to enter details. One of our Student Services team will verify your registration and complete due diligence checks, before any roles are publicised. Ask me for more details on how to exhibit (for free) at our upcoming, on campus, careers fair! #TeessideUniversity, more than just a TEF Triple Gold, Ofsted Outstanding Training Provider.

Neuromechanics of Movement -- MSCA PostDoc; NWO VENI Laureate & Incoming MPI-IS Ind. Group Leader (2025)
I am honored that I got invited to speak about my experiences with the MSCA post-doctoral fellowships and the road to a successful application! Don't expect unicorns and rainbows (i.e., magic solutions to receiving funding)! Instead, you'll get my experiences and a real-life take on how I have navigated (and still navigate) the challenges (and successes!!) of the funding landscape in academia... Some things I hope to highlight: where to start, how to identify collaborators (PIs), where to get help, how to deal with reviews, etc. But also, please bring all your great questions!

We had the pleasure of hosting Sarper Nalçacı, one of our 2018 graduates, on May 15, 2024, in collaboration with the MAT 117: Introduction to Mathematical Engineering and Ethics, and DAN 102: Entrepreneurship and Career Counseling courses. It was an extremely productive and enlightening conversation. We would like to express our gratitude to our valuable graduate, who constantly supports our department and shares his experiences with our students. Additionally, we extend our thanks to our student, Kadir Eken, for his support during the organization process. #MathematicalEngineering #ITU #INGBelgium
