In the world of AI... "How can we reimagine jobs to be more human centric? Begin by defining which tasks people should do, which tasks gen AI can do, and how humans should manage other people as well as gen AI usage itself. Technological skills such as coding will be the baseline for many jobs, but social-emotional skills and higher cognitive skills will be the differentiators for creative, collaborative work in the future. Perhaps this means more in-office meetings or other ways for people to engage in the most productive ways they can." #generativeAI #humanengagement #peoplecentric #productivity #upskill #emotional skills #

We already know that the heaviest users of AI in the workforce are mostly non-tech users. Now we find out that 1. Heavy AI users are MORE likely to leave their jobs because of burnout (although we've no details about this study ) and 2. Heavy AI users "overwhelmingly feel they need higher-level cognitive and social-emotional skills to do their jobs, more than they need to build technological skills." DEEP implications for higher ed (and more support for the liberal arts and learning to ask better questions) but a clear call to make sure we are managing for emotional and social well-being, motivation and distribution of meaningful tasks--what we should all be doing all the time. https://lnkd.in/gAmmt-if
