Mako Gold Ltd (ASX:MKG) managing director Peter Ledwidge joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion with results from the ongoing mapping and rock chip sampling program at the Tchaga North prospect at its flagship Napié Project in Côte d’Ivoire that yielded up to 79 grams per tonne of #gold. Ledwidge said the discovery adds to the already significant maiden resource of 868,000 ounces of gold. The company's approach involves expanding its resource base by targeting new areas. Out of 17 targets, Tchaga North has emerged as a high-grade zone, evidenced by the presence of a deep artisanal mining pit. The geology team at Mako Gold is actively engaged in mapping and rock chip sampling to generate new drill targets. This process has revealed new structures, prompting a change in drilling direction to effectively target these high-grade veins. Mako Gold Ltd (ASX:MKG) managing director Peter Ledwidge joins Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio to talk about additional results from a rock chip sampling and detailed mapping program at Tchaga North within the Napié Project in Côte d'Ivoire, in which the company holds a 90% interest. A new high-grade #goldzone, named Central Zone, has been identified, bolstering Tchaga North's potential as a prime drilling target. Significant high-grade rock chip results were recorded, with values including 76.10 g/t and 24.34 g/t #gold, among others, supplementing earlier findings of up to 79.50 g/t. Samples yielding high gold grades predominantly came from quartz veins linked to newly identified east-west structural trends, which have not yet been subjected to drilling. Mako Gold Ltd (ASX:MKG) managing director Peter Ledwidge sits down with Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio to chat through the completion of a mechanical trenching program at the Tchaga North prospect within the #NapiéGoldProject in Côte d’Ivoire, covering 762 metres with samples taken at 1-metre intervals. The trenching targeted new high-grade gold zones identified by recent field mapping and rock chip sampling, yielding high #gold concentrations (79.50 g/t, 76.10 g/t, 60.66 g/t). The zones examined included the Ladder Zone, Central Zone, Double Zone and other newly mapped areas. Mako is now awaiting assay results to further evaluate the trenches and plan subsequent drilling operations. The trenches revealed numerous east-west oriented quartz veins and stringers in stockworks, which have not yet been tested by drilling. I've often seen such kinds of posts trending on my timeline but I always question the intentions behind such kinds of posts. The statement from the company can get anyone excited but it's not intuitive, who does it speak to, is it just PR for more investors or is it a callout for the average Batswana graduates, in particular, to get their papers/CVs ready to interact with the company for the bare minimum experience in a drilling/mining company because it's truly frustrating to always hear about all of these prospective projects yet the young fresh graduates are galivanting the streets without a purpose besides a street side hustle. So who are we exactly aiming this post towards Ilala Metals and what are the steps/measures the company takes to ensure that the economy of the said country is benefiting, the growth of any economy is anchored by how many competent fresh graduates it assimilates into its current system, so perhaps such post should always be followed up by the offer packages they offer the immediate clientele, the people (graduates/ contributing member to the society) not the investors because they don't care so long as a company get the job done, it's fine with them! This is not a dig at @Ilala Metals, I have nothing against them but I'm sorry, in my humble opinion, this is unacceptable, and it isn't enough for companies to be dishing out such kinds of posts to the public! If I was to ask as a person of interest... So what? You are reaching some goals as a company, but what about me as a Motswana, especially from Letlhakane? What does the company bring to my town/village? Let's change the conversation from being all about better PR for the company to making a real change and developments in those particular areas. If the post spoke about how many graduates (underline the word graduates not layman) from Letlhakane it hired on its drilling expeditions then I'd congratulate them or the bursaries it created in that pursuit, that would be informative, but to inform the public mobilization is set for early March .... 💁♀️ With whom? From where? Who's benefiting from this? And most importantly why is that not the leading news? Is it just labour men that you've hired to cut down the cost of production as a company because there is that obvious scenario? Who exactly are we speaking too, and what are our intentions at that? We are 58 years old as a country, generation upon generation, such kinds of posts are unacceptable and uninformative because they don't speak to anyone besides PR!

Amex Exploration. (TSXV: AMX) (FSE: MX0) (OTCQX: AMXEF) has announced drill results that have expanded the near-surface mineralisation of the High-Grade Zone, on the company's flagship Perron Project in the northwestern Abitibi region of Quebec. Highlights: * 34.75 m of 2.22 g/t gold, including 1.00 m of 53.16 g/t gold. * 10.15 m of 1.47 g/t gold, including 0.75 m of 10.49 g/t gold. This discovery highlights the potential to uncover beyond the known core of the HGZ. With these new drill hits, the team plans to keep pushing the limits in this area. A lion's share of the smuggled gold ended up in the UAE, where it was processed and re-exported to other parts of the world. Once gold is processed, most countries mark the processing country as the place of origin. In this way, African gold worth about $31 billion ended up getting smuggled out of the continent, and so it could not contribute to its source country's economy. Imagine if Libya had a proper government in control of these mine sites. The potential outcome could be extraordinary, especially with major companies like Rio Tinto, bhp and other investment firms entering the country. We wouldn't have to rely solely on oil and gas; in fact, they might become the least significant part of our income. And gold is just what we know of so far. There's also a high potential for iron ore in regions like garyan and Jebel Nafusa. The possibilities are endless for Libya's future with a proper government!
