A gap in funding is a common distraction and worry when they should be totally focused on training and competition. The athletes aren’t the only ones who can be champions this summer! Why not hold an office get-together for the Olympic or Paralympic games and support families who need it most. Sell lollies, hotdogs or drinks, run a sporting sweepstake, or simply ask for donations during your watch party. If a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well….maybe that belief has been self-limiting in my 51 years. The countdown is on to my first (of FOUR) charity challenges! There’s 79 days until I take on the Triathlon on Sunday 28th April 2024! I am 51.  I am diabetic. And…  I like to eat, therefore I am overweight - just saying 😊. Coupled with that I have a (not in any way life threatening) diagnosed breathing difficulty - when my heart rate is elevated. Think of a female body built for running - you know……long legs, lean and muscular with small boobies. Then think of totally the opposite. And you have me! Most definitely not built for running! Probably more limiting than that though - I have always told myself I can’t run. That’s my challenge! Nonetheless, I’ve decided not only am I going to Run…  I’m going to Swim and Cycle as well!
