#FRAUD ALERT: Impersonators are spoofing actual U.S. Department of Homeland Security phone numbers and creating email addresses resembling DHS emails to appear legitimate. Some may send pictures of real or doctored law enforcement credentials. Impersonators try to convince victims to provide personally identifiable information, passwords, credit card or bank numbers, or make payments using money transfer services or unconventional methods.
