The day began with a keynote on “AI and Human Security” by Anna Rubinstein (National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency) followed by a panel discussion and a roundtable collaboration with the audience and a live AI chatbot from Navteca. Here are the key highlights of the day: Panel Discussion: Experts including Dave Cook (The Training Data Project), Lucio Colaiacomo (EU SatCen), Anna Rubinstein (NGA), Shayna Solis (formerly Skolnik) (Navteca), Zaffar Sadiq Mohamed-Ghouse (Woolpert Asia-Pacific) and OGC's Ingo Simonis explored ethical AI challenges, from data authenticity to global governance measures, focusing on trust and transparency. Roundtable: "AI – Geospatial Applications and Outcomes" with Olivia Graham (Google), and Shayna Solis (Navteca), and Micah Brachman (OGC) explored geospatial use cases for AI and the requirements that standards-based APIs and information models needed for platform interoperability, while the audience interacted with Navteca's Voice Atlas authoritative AI chatbot. Closing Session: "Innovation Days Outcomes and Future Directions" featured OGC’s Micah Brachman, Christina Monaco, Ingo Simonis, and Peter Rabley reflecting on key takeaways and charting the path ahead for geospatial innovation.
