Visual Navigation is a big trend in advanced algorithmic development for robotics recently. Stereolabs has been quietly moving from a 3D camera maker into a full #SpatialAI integrator with multi-camera fusion, detection, ground segmentation, visual odometry, terrain mapping, and much more using on-robot NVIDIA #Jetson compute modules. Since they manufacture the cameras, integrate with selected compute boards, and write their own software software, you get a tightly coupled solution that works well, immediately out-of-the-box. We at Open Navigation are very impressed by these results and look forward to using it in projects soon! Let's create simple as possible robots

So far, we have unfortunately encountered rather unpleasant hardware issues with the Stereolabs cameras. It might be due to the combination with NVIDIA hardware. However, it seems far from being a plug-and-play solution, especially when additional sensors are involved. I hope this changes soon.
