Product placement is hardly a new development. One of the earliest examples of the marketing technique came in The Garage, a 1920 film starring Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle, Buster Keaton, and Molly Malone, which prominently featured the logo of Red Crown Gasoline. Today, enter creator marketing. One huge advantage it has in the product placement area over media like movies and television is speed: The time it takes for a creator to make their content go live on social platforms is a fraction of the time it takes to produce a movie or TV show. Marketing Disaster of #12thfail made it into a blockbuster movie. - In the era of big-budget blockbuster promotions, #12thfail defied expectations with its silent arrival, causing initial concern among moviegoers and industry enthusiasts. - Doubts about the film's potential success lingered, prompting questions like, "Is it worth the promotion?" and comparisons to the fate of forgotten movies like "Action Hero." - Despite the absence of traditional marketing efforts, #12thfail emerged as a surprising sensation, capturing the attention of viewers and sparking conversations across social circles. - The movie's unconventional journey taught a valuable lesson in marketing – the undeniable power of word of mouth, proving that slow and steady can indeed win the race. - While promotional activities were minimal, speculation arose about whether this intentional choice was a strategy to keep the film within a low budget, a risk that paid off handsomely in the end. -As the film continued to gain momentum, it became a symbol of the unpredictable nature of the entertainment industry, where creativity and substance can shine even in the absence of flashy marketing campaigns. #moviemarketing #wordofmouth #12thfail #movies #indianmovies #moviepromotion

Film has such a beautiful ability to connect with and impact people. Why else do we see friends dress up as their favorite movie characters or see families watch the same holiday movies every year? You see, connection is key. So why not apply this concept to your brand’s video marketing? By creating a film or video that is rooted in your brand’s reason of existence, you create an opportunity to deepen the connection with your audience. #filmmaking #commercialfilm #advertising

When to start marketing a film? Before you start shooting! 🎥 Document the process. Take people on the journey with you, take them behind the scenes... Audience-building, awareness activity, growing your engaged fanbase should be on your mind and in your plan right from pre-production! Build the trust, excitement, and anticipation in others as you experience your own during production. Starting marketing only AFTER the film is made is wild (and far too late!) You need to know you have an audience before you sink money into something, so that audience / market research, refining the comms plan, having a clear goal is vital before shooting commences if you want the best possible returns... 📷 by director Matt Reeves shared on X on the first day of shooting The Batman in 2020 (the film released in 2022) #filmmarketing

Last year I had a vision for the marketing world... To bring life to businesses and their message. Of course the 'about us' video has its place. But what if you could do more? 💡 What if we could combine filmmaking and marketing? Employees getting involved with ideas & acting, showing off some personality and the whole team having fun. Big brands might call these 'commercials' - But for small and medium sized businesses - I call it the 'Business Action Film' Why I believe in this type of content: ✅ More enagement online ✅ Show off the personality in your business ✅ Get employees having a laugh together and sharing ideas ✅ Boost local brand recognition Who is ready to bring Hollywood to the office this year? 😅 #videoproduction #marketing2024 #actionfilm

As an avid watcher of creative media especially films and series, I try to take a look on how product placement (PPL) is conducted throughout the production using the perspective of an audience. While PPL oftentimes appears somewhat forced to be inserted into a certain production, I observed several film and series that do otherwise. Yes, with more creative effort, PPL could be fun to watch and even play an important role to the story! As a result, the product that is indirectly advertised could be memorable to the viewers. What are those film and series who do it right? Here's my short takeout! #productplacement #advertisement #marketing #digitalmarketing #strategicplanning

If you're in B2B - Don't sleep on video! Effective video marketing can turn prospects into customers. It can be the reason why your customers stay. It can even be why they choose you over a competitor! Why? Because it instills trust, expertise and can position you as a category leader. Perception is key in B2B and video can guide the client's focus. If you're just starting with video in B2B - the three most basic areas are: - Brand - Product - Case Studies Each of these areas can be presented and promoted in a number of ways. Case studies for example can be presented as beautiful documentary-style films, investigating just how you and your client were successful together. Alternatively, these could also be a mixed media projects, using colourful animation to visualise your intangible concepts.
