Showcasing projects made possible by using the Beneficial Ownership Data Standard (BODS) #3: Mapping data from the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) to BODS To demonstrate how BODS can be used to structure data on corporate ownership even if it does not contain information about beneficial owners, Open Ownership and Open Data Services Co-operative have mapped GLEIF’s open data to BODS and we republish it on a regular basis. Today Open Ownership and Open Data Services Co-operative are releasing version 0.4 of the Beneficial Ownership Data Standard https://lnkd.in/eS7NmX3u Our open standard supports countries to collect and connect beneficial ownership data on a full range of legal entities (companies, partnerships, public listed companies, state-owned enterprises) and legal arrangements (trusts, nominee relationships). Based on years of learning and technical work, version 0.4 introduces new features to capture high-quality data on how beneficial ownership relationships change over time, how to represent declarations and how to separate core data from metadata within statements. New documentation sets out how to represent trusts and trust-like arrangements in BODS as well as how to capture nominee relationships. The development of version 0.4 builds on previous versions which already allowed anyone to capture beneficial ownership data on a wide range of legal entities as well as legal arrangements. Learn more in our release announcement https://lnkd.in/esfXngyw or by joining our free launch event tomorrow (Tuesday 25 June) https://lnkd.in/eCd9EJAF I want to say huge congratulations and thanks to Kadie Armstong, Emma Howard, Kathryn Irish, Rachel Vint, Amy Guy and Ed Lloyd-Davies from our technical partners Open Data Services Co-operative for all the hard work and effort they have put in over the last two years to develop the standard. #beneficialownership #openstandards

#TTransactionThursday Today's tip is about the Data Migration considerations when transitioning to S/4HANA. When migrating to S/4HANA, data is the backbone of your operations. Here's are 3 primary steps to consider before starting your migration to ensure a seamless data migration: 1. Data Assessment: Evaluate data volume and quality. What needs to be migrated? What needs to be archived? 2. Data Mapping: Map source data to S/4HANA fields. What goes where? 3. Data Cleansing: Remove duplicates and errors. What is inaccurate and in need of cleansing?

This is such a benchmark in how we see and approach to #beneficialownership data to be well-stored and connected between different jurisdictions. The more structured and interoperable data about people, companies and the relationship between them, the more it can be used to tackle transnational corrption, money laundering and environmental crimes. Join us tomorrow to our launch webinar of the Beneficial Ownership Data Standard Version 0.4 and learn from direct users the benefits they are gaining from adopting it. https://lnkd.in/g4qWakBR
