Some of my favorite quotes shared from the panel moderated by the incredible Abha Bowers 1. “It’s not that deep. Don’t take it personal. Find yourself a mentor” Tia Dunn 🦄 I agree so much with this. My mentor(s) have played a big part of the successful decision I’ve made. Shoutout to Laura Boodram (she/her) 👸 and the Beeler.Tech team 2. “Have a direct conversation with your manager in midst of conflict and ask for clear expectations and make it quantifiable.” Jennifer Best 🦄 y’all this right here has saved me from a lot of unwanted situations because I keep track of my wins and progress. Hence why we always celebrate two wins and a challenge in training calls. 3. “Don’t be a bystander. Speak up and stand up for yourself and for the other women in your office. Whether they are present or not. Don’t partake in the chitchat/gossip” Nicole Filippo 🦄 👏🏾 🎤 drop. Call people out on they shit including passive aggressive also coverted as racism and sexism at work. 4. “Operate within your values. Ask yourself would a person with my values react this way. Find out what matters most to you.” Jordan Cain 🦄 I absolutely do not take calls of the person is sick. If you are on a call with me and you show up sick. We reschedule. If you cannot give me 90-100% I cannot help you. Prioritizing your health and wellness is much more important and that’s my value. Thank you to AMA Triangle and NC CENTRAL UNIVERSITY SCHOOL DISTRICT! #programmatic #womenaredope
