Reynolds Polymer Technology is part of the team developing the new Design By Analysis methods for glassy polymers. While the sponsoring group is ASME Pressure Vessels for Human Occupancy with it's critical application of people under pressure (hyperbaric medical systems, commercial diving, submarines, pressurized mining systems, etc.), the implications of a codified method for using glassy polymers as an engineering structural material has implications in aerospace, civil construction, ship building, architecture, and other areas. Reynolds' proven techniques are laying the foundation for defining "what right looks like" in polymer structural design.

Some people think I am crazy for travelling interstate as much as I have been given we are a new business... Well, here is why I do it! In Feb and March I travelled to almost every state in Australia with the sole purpose of bar hopping and visiting new venues in an attempt to increase our presence across Australia. Was it worth it? I think so! We landed: 1) "Australia's most iconic bar" - Opera Bar, who are now our biggest customer by volume. HUGE! 2) A total of 20 venues in WA from one 4 day trip, including one of Perth's biggest On-Premise venues... This venue alone is bigger than any of our other 335 venues. 3) Approximately 150 new people tried our product, purely from me providing samples. That is 150 more people than before. That's 150 people who might tell one of their friends, which means now 300 people have heard the name SOLBEVI, and heard about product. It is a ripple effect. LIQUID ON LIPS is hands down the most effective form of marketing in the beverage space! We were taught this before launching, and it has proven to be the most effective (including cost effective) form. We will always stand by this! What are your thoughts?

Fawlty Towers and Management “May I ask what you expected to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically...?” This scene from Fawlty Towers is one of my all time favorite comedy moments. The guest complaining she didn’t get a room with a view. The manager pointing out the sea. “Not much of view is it”.. then the classic quote above. Too often we expect employees to produce spectacular results when we have given them no margin of time or support. If we want great results, then as managers we need to make the proper investment into the people side of the equation. And in my experience that means making sure they have not just the physical resources, but are coming into the task with the right level of reset from the last task. If you keep piling one job on top of another, you will be lucky to get Torquay, never mind the Sydney Opera House. If you want spectacular results, make spectacular investments into supporting the people doing the work. #employeeengagement #checkingin #fawltytowers

New product: 1976 Dunhill Shell Briar 41ED Sandblasted Opera Estate Briar Pipe, English Estates To veteran pipe smokers, Dunhill needs no introduction. Beginning in 1907, Alfred Dunhill began selling Dunhill pipes at the tobacconist shop he owned on London’s Duke Street. Very quickly, these pipes gained the reputation of being the ‘Rolls-Royce’ of pipes due to how expertly crafted they were. Today, Dunhill is likely Britain’s most famous pipe manufacturer, and continues to produce some of the most treasured pipes a smoker can buy. Opera pipes are highly distinct in relation to other shapes, owing to their having an oval chamber, rather than a typical circular one. The origin of the shape, as well as the name, is debated among pipe historians, with one rationale for the shape itself being the ease with which it could be kept in one’s inside pocket. To my knowledge, Dunhill has had at least two shape codes for their straight Operas, the 320 and the 41ED (seen here), but even then, these pipes are exceedingly rare. All of the Dunhill Operas I’ve handled previously have been mid-century pieces, and all but the Black Briar iterations have had white bands, including this Shell Briar. The material used for white band on the mid-century iterations is assumed to be ivory, whereas on this 1976 one, I’m not entirely sure. I would suspect it to be Galalith, otherwise known as Erinoid, which Dunhill experimented with as a substitute for ivory after the latter was no longer used. The condition is great. Some inner rim darkening and residual oxidation. Details: Length: 4.6″ / 116.8mm Bowl Width: 0.86 / 21.84mm Bowl Depth: 1.24″ / 31.49mm Weight: 0.9oz / 28g 👉🏽👉🏽Pipe Link: https://nuel.ink/eDJ7x7 #pipesmoking #pipes #tobaccopipe #pipesmoker #pipetobacco #tobacco #smokingpipe #briarpipe #briar #smoking #pipemaker #pipecollector #artisanpipes #mbsd

You know the PMS (Property Management System) aka Fosse, OnQ, Opera, etc. But you may NOT know: Why the numbers on your financial statements don't look the same as your daily PMS reports. How to setup your PMS so that the reports show the detail you need. What should be feeding from the PMS to your back office accounting system. And how the heck to explain that to your team. It's time for our Weekly Moment of Connection! FEAR - how do you feel about it? How does it show up for you? What does it stop you from doing, being, having? This question stopped me in my tracks, I normally try to bury fear and prevent it from surfacing where I can however there was something quite freeing about answering this question which put a lot of the noise in my head into perspective and sharpened my intentions both personally and professionally! I took 1/2 hour to myself with a glass of wine, overlooking the harbour bridge & opera house to sit & reflect on it. Challenging you to do the same, (wine optional of course). Today's question is: "What is your deepest fear?" See the video to connect and hear my answer! I'm curious though, what's your answer to this question? Leave your answer in the comments or DM me, I'd love to hear from you. #Theconnectedleader #DOAC #thepowerofconnection
