1. TBH I would go less on "stages". I just talked to someone who's on their 4th interview for a tier 1 help desk position. At a certain point it's just hazing. 2. Had a company do the higher salary but never documented it and other things promised. Like I've told other people. IF IT'S NOT on DOCUMENTATION it doesn't count. There is a way to counter this. Send an email describing everything discussed. If they ignore acknowledging it, RUN. 3. Family, get's mentioned... eeehhhh RUN!! Been there done that. 4. I WILL NEVER DO FREE WORK. Again... EVER. Except for actnow. I've done the free work and the outlook is usually (If I'm getting this for free, why pay for it.) My "free work" has gotten people PAID, further up etc. People haven't been able to replicate the success. 5. I want to add, avoids putting phone, email etc.
Watch out for these 9 Warning Signs to Watch Out for During Interviews 🚩 - The company often describes its team as a “family” - The interview involves more than 6 stages - They offer a higher salary "later" but don't document it - Defensive or overly guarded answers - Strange power dynamics - Bait-and-switch tactic - Interviewers lacking engagement - Pressure-based offers - Requests for free work Stay sharp and don't ignore the warning signs! #All #ActiveDuty #TransitioningMilitary #MilitarySpouses #Reservists #Veterans #ACTNowEducation

Paul, it was great connect with you and having an important conversation on transitioning into the next season of work life. Ken Blanchard called it “refiring” versus “retiring”. I think the refiring thought process can start early in an individual’s career as you think about development opportunities that are a win for the organization now and a personal win for future endeavors. Transitioning can be an emotional experience, which is why I advise organizations to focus on employees from hiring through retiring! Emotional Intelligence skills are critical for individuals to recognize, understand, and manage their emotions in the transition! TalentSmartEQ
