Christmas can act as a magnifying glass - if you are healthy and well, and life is good, then this time of year can feel joyful and special. But for those who are battling deeper battles, trying to cope with chronic pain, and those struggling with loneliness and isolation it can magnify those uncomfortable and painful situations too. So as Christmas approaches, take time to reach out to those who may be struggling. Check in on friends and loved ones who have faced difficult times or are battling physical and emotional pain. Take time to check in on those who could be lonely at what should be a happy time of year. On this #NationalDayOfServiceandRemembrance, let's honor the lives lost on 9/11 by embodying the spirit of unity and compassion that arose in its aftermath. Dedicating ourselves to serving our communities is a powerful way to pay tribute to those we lost and create a more positive future. Here are some meaningful ways you can give back: ⏩Volunteer at a Local Food Bank: Help pack meals for those in need and ensure no one goes hungry. ⏩Participate in a Community Clean-Up: Join local efforts to beautify your neighborhood and create a welcoming environment for all. ⏩Donate Blood: Consider donating blood at a local blood drive to help save lives in your community. ⏩Support a Veteran Organization: Volunteer your time or donate to organizations that support veterans and their families. ⏩Perform Random Acts of Kindness: Whether it’s paying for someone’s coffee or writing a note of appreciation, small gestures can make a big impact. Let's turn this day of remembrance into a day of action. Share your ideas for serving others in the comments below! #ServiceToOthers #HonorAndRemember #911 #NeverForget

Friends, We’ve been here before and will probably be here again, but one thing about us is that we know how to unite in the middle of a storm. Let’s roll up our sleeves. If you can’t donate, you can definitely offer up a good old-fashioned prayer. I am my brother’s keeper. 🙏 #temperament, #WIDPprofile, #, #authenticity, #intrinsicdesign, #humandevelopment, #needsanddesires, #selfawarenessjourney, #demonstratedbehavior, #creation, #core, #relationships https://lnkd.in/eBgdjVUq

We are all striving for sainthood, but sometimes it can be difficult to think of practical things we can do to live out holiness in our daily lives. First Witnesses, an Institute for Catholic Formation initiative, wants to help you do just that. Here are 7 ways to become a saint from First Witnesses: - Create a list of reasons you are grateful - Write a kind note to someone in your family. - Donate books and toys to charity - Go all day without electronics and offer the sacrifice for those who are ill. - Reuse paper to write and draw on - Pray for someone in need As Bishop Caggiano says, “Becoming a saint is made one choice at a time." Let's make those choices and strive for sainthood each and every day! Besides the American Red Cross and the Humane Society in Helene affected areas, also consider donating to groups coming into rescue with vital supplies to cut off Mountainous areas. There are mule teams going in. Also helicopters. These are the people coming from far and wide to help as there are so many people in need. The groups doing helicopter drops need fuel, and access to fuel. Any thing any body and can to help this process please make the time to do it. United Cajun Navy is one such group flying in life saving supplies. I contact them to find out about making donations and what they needed. I was told, fuel. And Access to more fuel. Too let's stop talking about politics and who won a debate or not and get down to taking care who are in and face unsurmountable challenges. If this organization isn't your thing, find one that is and donate money and time to helping if you can not be physically there. Whether it's American Red Cross, Humane Society, private corporations willing to help, non-profit organizations already on the ground, all of us need to pitch in. It may not have been you and your family this time, but next time? Respond. https://lnkd.in/gUiTK3Vn

Jonah 2:9 - "But I, with shouts of grateful praise, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed, I will make good. I will say, 'Salvation comes from the Lord.'" How can you fulfill your vows of gratitude and acknowledge that salvation comes from the Lord? For example, · By committing to daily acts of kindness and thanksgiving. · By volunteering your time to a charitable cause. · By sharing your blessings with those in need. · By making a promise to express gratitude more frequently. · By declaring the source of salvation and hope in your life. Action Step: Today, consider making a vow or commitment to serve others and honor your vow with a specific act of kindness or service to those in need. Reflect on the significance of salvation in your life and express your gratitude for it. #LoveINCMoCo #LINCMoCo #30daysofthanks #trending Bless Your Neighbors! https://lnkd.in/eTHqDnEK

RITUAL Cleaning: A Moment of Purity and Reflection For millions, ablution is not just about cleansing the body; it’s about preparing the soul for a deeper connection with the Divine. This simple yet profound ritual serves as a reminder of the importance of purity, humility, and gratitude in our daily lives. In many communities, however, the lack of clean and accessible water makes this sacred practice a challenge. Imagine walking miles just to fetch water to perform ablution before prayer. The struggle is real, but so is the resilience of those who hold their faith close, even in the toughest circumstances. Charity Doings Foundation deployment of a new ablution facility is more than a convenience—it restores dignity, ensures access to clean water, and creates a space for spiritual and physical renewal. It’s a place where everyone in the community can reconnect with their roots, cleanse their hands, and prepare their hearts for prayer. Let this remind us of the blessings we often take for granted and inspire us to bring these blessings to those who need them most. Together, we can make every drop of water a source of hope, healing, and connection. For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. Mathew 26:11 We have countless opportunities to help those in need! Our world is imperfect, and poverty will always be a huge concern. We can actively help those in need by donating to local charities, participating in fundraising for missionary projects, and praying over the hearts of those who are hurting. Prayer is powerful, and we can change the world by calling on the name of the Lord. Dear Lord, we will watch over those in need. You have blessed each of us with skills and finances so we may provide care for those who are physically and spiritually unable to provide for themselves. In Jesus' Name, Amen. #spiritualityandspiritualsouls #brainexpansiongroup
