This report, though informative, still does not explain why the numbers are showing that the hiring process is taking so long. Where is the biggest hold up in the process and why? What are they doing to make this part of the process faster? I worked in the HR department on the base in my state until recently. When we reviewed these numbers for the year reported, we fell short when it came to our childcare departments. Trying to move the hiring process faster while qualifying the applicants before hiring them was a challenge.

Hiring is a very small part of your problem. You can’t fix bad culture by improving the hiring process. Unless of course, you’ve fired all your bad leadership. Have you or have you not implemented the RPA Strategy ?
Greatful this information is being shared, but is anyone doing anything to change the process. Many times I have heard to be patient with the Govt process, but life is not always as patient which is why so many individuals move on to other opportunities. This is also discouraging with Temp staffing because promises are made by managers and HR turns around and terminates vs being transparent about funding.
A start in being transparent but I have concerns with data integrity. When Human Resources departments control the tracking systems and recording data on which they are being held accountable, think about that.
