Building a footbridge may seem like a simple task, but realizing one that meets all the technical, aesthetic and usability requirements is a different story. We, however, are skilled in this. We realized a steel footbridge for pedestrians in Tczew Meadows on the Motlawa River. 🏗️ The work lasted from October to December 2024. The footbridge was delivered to the site in one piece and set on reinforced concrete supports. The footbridges we realize are characterized by: ✅ speed of execution, ✅ low maintenance costs, ✅ durability of workmanship. We encourage you to see photos that show the effect of this realization. #building #firstfloor #prefabrication #Optem

Foundation - Straps Between Footings Straps between footings, often referred to as strap footings are structural elements used to connect isolated footings. This design is typically employed when adjacent footings are subjected to unequal or eccentric loads or when property boundaries restrict the placement of footings. In this design, isolated footings are connected by a reinforced concrete beam called a strap beam, which ensures load distribution and prevents differential settlement. Key Features:- Load Balancing, Space Optimization, Reduced Material Use and Eccentric Load Support

Long Span Saddle Hypar Pavilion Model Inspired by the form of the Schierker Feuerstein Arena Roof Cover built in Germany few years ago, I ventured into attempting to assemble a physical hybrid model that will incorporate steel and bamboo rods, plastic connectors, lashing of steel and bamboo rods at intersecting nodes, and covered all with a tensioned membrane clamped along two edge parabolic arches, and the entire structure clamped to a wood base frame that will all be free standing and supported only at the two ends of the entire framework. The intent is to achieve a saddle hypar roof construction which will be capable to support all wind, snow, rain, and combination of wind and snow loads with ample covered space without any interior vertical supports. The attached PDF file is presented to document the step by step construction of the hybrid physical model. #bamboo #lashing #hybridroof #hyparroof #saddleroof #parabolicroof #rhino #grasshopper #reciprocalframing #recirculatingmaterials #nurbilineargridwork #naturalinteligence #ni #hybridsteelmembrane #tactileengineering #lashingbamboo #sustainability #bamboogridshell

Why is Cupolex dome shaped? A dome is an architectural structure that resembles the shape of an inverted bowl or half of a sphere. The arch structure inside each Cupolex dome distributes loads evenly, allowing it to bear weight and resist compression. The stability created by the interlocking arches also allow for versatile use cases including relocatable slabs. Cupolex is the smart concrete void former.

If you were a client asking about our timber beam products, here's how we would answer you: We supply pine beams, typically cut into square shapes and treated with CCA H4 for enhanced durability. We also offer eucalyptus beams, a strong hardwood option. The type of environment is crucial when choosing beams. Pine beams excel in low-humidity settings, while eucalyptus beams are more prone to cracking in such conditions. However, eucalyptus, being a hardwood, offers superior overall strength. Both perform well in suitable environments and can last for years with proper handling. Though pine is a softwood, it's suitable for construction in certain applications. In any case, we always recommend consulting a structural engineer for your specific project to ensure you choose the best beam type and size. Read this blog to learn more about pine beams. #sabiepoles #cca #intentionalquality #beams #construction #timber

You know what's annoying, When small tiles fall off from the wall because the adhesive isn't strong enough. But it becomes dangerous when a 40 kg, 2.60 m tile falls off. ⛔ That's why we conducted tests to learn more and see how well a XXL tile adheres to a plastered wall. We employed the back-buttering technique and a C2TES2 adhesive. The outcome was quite convincing. 📊 #tileadhesive #construction #vinnapas #porcelaintiles Watch the video and read the article on our website to learn more: ⬇ https://lnkd.in/gc7TVdCd

Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) – The Future of Building: Why Is It Better Than Traditional Wood? LVL is becoming a go-to material for modern construction. Here’s why it stands out: ✅ Twice as strong as regular wood – handles much heavier loads. ✅ Stable and precise – great for detailed work, with minimal warping. ✅ Durable and long-lasting – built to last at least 50 years. ✅ Resistant to fire and moisture – performs better than traditional wood. ✅ Wide range of uses – perfect for roofs, floors, frames, and even tall buildings. LVL is practical, reliable, and versatile. It helps make construction faster and more efficient while ensuring quality and durability for decades. #VMG #VMGLignum #VMGgroup #LVL #VMGLignumLVL #LaminatedVeneerLumber #FutureConstruction

TUBULAR DESIGN OF TALL STRUCTURES The tube is a system where, to resist lateral loads (wind, seismic, impact), a building is designed to act like a hollow cylinder, cantilevered perpendicular to the ground. Fazlur Rahman Khan developed the method while at the architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), in their Chicago office. There are several variants of tubular design: framed, trussed or braved, hull and core and bundle. The bundle variant was adopted for The Sears Tower (formerly known as Willis Towers). Instead of one tube, a building consists of several tubes tied together to resist lateral forces. The columns are along the perimeters of the tubes and tied together by spandrel beams. It is efficient structurally and economically, and provides clear, column-free floor spaces. Video: @engineerguy YouTube. #StructuralEngineering #Skyscrapers #TubularDesign
