🚀 Completed a Dataquest.io guided Project: Data-Driven Customer and Inventory Analysis! 📊 Github: https://shorturl.at/Fra1C In a dynamic retail environment, understanding customer behavior and managing inventory efficiently are key to maximizing profitability. In the project, SQL-based data analysis was utilized to inform marketing strategies, optimize customer acquisition costs, and enhance inventory management. Here's a brief overview: 1. Customer Insights: - High-Value Customers: By joining `products`, `orders`, and `orderdetails` tables, I identified the top five VIP customers who significantly contribute to revenue. This helped tailor marketing efforts to boost customer loyalty and retention. - Low-Engagement Customers: I also pinpointed the top five least-engaged customers, allowing us to develop strategies to re-engage them and optimize spending. 2. Customer Acquisition Cost Optimization: - I computed the average profit per customer using a Common Table Expression (CTE). This benchmark informed our acquisition cost strategy, ensuring spending on new customers was sustainable and aligned with potential revenue. 3. Effective Inventory Management: - By analyzing product performance and stock levels, I identified which products needed restocking and which required reduced ordering. This optimization helped meet customer demand promptly and reduced carrying costs. This data-driven approach provided valuable insights, enabling strategic decisions that align with business goals and drive growth in a competitive retail landscape.
