"The Earthquake Effect" I think most people don’t understand that everything they say and do impacts others in substantial ways. I’m sure you have heard about some earthquakes, that raise the sea floor a small amount, create huge tsunami (tidal wave) far away from the source of the earthquake. A lot of times, by our actions and words that we do not think that they matter, creates massive unwanted change in the lives of other people. We look at our words and actions as small “tremors” in our lives but, in reality, they can destroy the lives of other people. Our decisions have consequences that do not just involve the one you see in the mirror on a daily basis. THIS concept is foreign to most young people and a huge population of adults. Again, everything you say and do creates a tsunami (tidal wave) in the lives of other people. What are you about to say and do that you think is not a big deal? Actually, it is a big deal! John W. Ethiopian Earthquake Intensity Tracker https://lnkd.in/dfYneu9T Where will i be safe? PGA(Peak Ground Acceleration) is a way to measure how fast the ground shakes during an earthquake. It shows the highest shaking speed as a percentage of gravity (9.81 m/s²). Higher PGA means stronger shaking and more potential damage. <0.1%g: Not felt; 0.1–1%g: Slight, no damage; 1–3%g: Light, minor effects; 3–10%g: Moderate, minor damage; 10–30%g: Very strong, structural cracks; 30–50%g: Severe, significant damage; 50–100%g: Violent, building collapses; >100%g: Extreme, near-total destruction.

HUGE WARNING. 7.0 Earthquake at the southern end of the Cascadia fault zone. NOTE: Cascadia is a SUBDUCTION fault on a coast which is at HIGH risk for Tsunami. The last major quake on Cascadia was 1700, so this is a significant breaking news event as this could be a precursor to something bigger or hopefully a stress relief for the rest of the fault. https://lnkd.in/gJDkSnZv
