The LinkedIn bell got an upgrade! Do you use this feature already? If not, do you think you will now that it's more dynamic? p.s. s/o to Christina Gaspar just because I discovered this while snoopin' on your page

Piggybacking off of this post, I just started making videos for Flex Technology Group, and here’s what I've learned along with some tips that helped me: • Preparation is Key: Planning your content, scripting your dialogue, and storyboarding scenes can significantly enhance the quality of your videos. But even with meticulous planning, sometimes things don’t go as expected - and that's okay! • Understanding Your Equipment: Whether you are recording with your phone or a professional camera, knowing your equipment's capabilities and limitations can make a big difference. Experiment with different settings and lighting conditions to see what works best. • Sound Matters: Good quality audio is just as important as clear visuals. Invest in a good microphone, monitor your audio levels, and always check for background noise before starting to record. • Lighting Can Transform Your Video: Natural light is your best friend, but it isn’t always available. Learning how to use different lighting setups can drastically improve the visual appeal of your videos - I use a ring light! • Adding Captions: Sometimes, people can't listen to your videos with sound, whether they’re in a noisy environment or need to keep the volume down. Adding captions ensures that everyone can still enjoy and understand your content. • Editing is Where Magic Happens: Also the part that takes the longest 😅 Editing allows you to shape the story, correct mistakes, and add effects that enhance viewer engagement. It can be frustrating when you can't quite capture what you want to say or show, but with patience and practice, you'll find your rhythm. • Feedback is Gold: Always share your videos with a trusted group of peers or mentors before going live. Constructive feedback can help you see things you might have missed and improve the overall quality of your work. Most importantly, Embrace the process and have fun creating - we're all learning together!

1 post a week?!?! This is a Social Catastrophe for a growing business. Now hear me out. You might be thinking that I or Gary here might be overreacting but I can't emphasize enough how this is important. I talk to businesses daily and I see companies making this mistake every day and are in a world where they haven't grown enough to think social media is a priority for their business to grow. A BUSINESS is a BRAND. To represent your brand you need a platform or a medium. What is social media? A PLATFORM where you can spread the word for your BRAND.
This is the video that many of you need! Stop overthinking what you put out on social media, no one wants your PR story or your overproduced life, just spit your truths! Try something right now, post on LinkedIn either a picture of what you’re looking at and where your mindset is right now, or make a 1 Min video and tell your community your feelings! Some Tuesday thoughts for those talking and not doing. Can't wait for this years VeeCon august 9-11 in L.A !!!
