RN Burnout! There have been a few post on this topic. I can not stress the importance of taking time out for yourself. Is travel nursing easy? No! However, I told my family not to get used to the increased income. It was there so that I could take more time off and be a better nurse. Regardless if you are a staff nurse or travel nurse, save money so you can take plenty of time off. Do not live beyond your means. For staff nurses, I recommend you demand more than a week or 2 off. (usually the most Hospitals allow for full time employees). DEMAND atleast 4 weeks or more at one time. You deserve it! You will be a better nurse when you get back. Don’t get burned out!
