Webuild embarks on a new challenge: the assembly and regeneration of TBMs to reduce operational costs and improve the efficiency of those currently working on Italian construction sites. As in the case of the first mole that arrived from the Grand Paris Express’ excavations, these giants are brought to the factory in Terni, disassembled, overhauled, and possibly subjected to some technical modifications based on the characteristics of the project they will be used for. #Webuild ..,...the assembly and remanufacturing of these extremely sophisticated machines... certainly represents a very ambitious new challenge for our company

Many exhibitors at Intermat 2018 thought that it might be its last as an international exhibition. However, while many leading manufacturers - mainly in the crane and aerial lift sectors - decided not to attend this year leaving empty spaces both in the halls and outside, the show seemed well attended and had a good vibe. The cold windy weather on Wednesday the first day, did its best to keep any visitors inside, but things improved dramatically on Thursday and Friday which were busy. Intermat has felt like a show gradually losing its international status since 2015 if not before, while Bauma has continued to grow and dominate and Conexpo managed to regain and stabilise its status. #event #show #networking #crane #access #telehandler #software #technology #exhibit #tradeshow #tradeshowexhibit #machinery #equipment #showcase #tradeshows #tradefair #tradeevent #exhibitions #machineryexhibition #constructionindustry

Aerial Photography Highlights Progress on Multipurpose Terminal at Safaga Port Shipping Arabia, July 15, 2024 — The latest aerial photographs of the multipurpose terminal project at Safaga Port showcase significant advancements in the Grand Safaga Port development, a cornerstone of Egypt's strategy to transform into a regional hub for transport, logistics, and transit trade as per presidential directives. The ambitious project involves constructing a 1,100-meter quay and dredging the navigation channel to a depth of 17 meters, facilitating the accommodation of large container ships. The terminal boasts a hinterland area of 810,000 square meters, designed to handle general goods and containers, with provisions for future expansions and the establishment of industrial and logistical zones to support the port's operations. Strategically located on the Red Sea, the terminal covers an extensive area of 81 hectares. It is projected to handle between half a million to 3 million containers annually, alongside approximately 7 million tons of general goods. The facility will manage a variety of cargo, including dry and liquid bulk, enhancing Egypt's maritime capacity. The terminal is set to become the primary gateway for Upper Egypt's development, bolstering the region's mining activities in the Golden Triangle and supporting export and import operations. It aims to drive regional growth by linking development projects in northern and central Upper Egypt to the port, attracting investments in industry, logistics, warehousing, and assembly sectors. A critical component of the terminal's infrastructure is its integration with Egypt's high-speed electric train network, specifically the third line, which will connect Safaga Port to the south valley. This connectivity will significantly reduce road congestion, particularly in the Upper Egypt governorates of Qena, Assiut, Aswan, and Luxor, while facilitating efficient transportation of containers and goods. The multipurpose terminal at Safaga Port is expected to generate numerous direct and indirect job opportunities, contributing to national income growth. By enhancing transport and logistics capabilities, the project aligns with Egypt's broader economic development goals, positioning Safaga Port as a pivotal player in the region's maritime industry.
