At Quantlase Lab, we are developing quantum random number generators using chaotic lasers. These lasers are distinguished by their rapid temporal dynamics and extensive spectral bandwidth. Unlike semiconductor lasers, which typically have a bandwidth of a few gigahertz determined by the relaxation oscillation frequency, chaotic lasers offer significantly faster performance. This makes them ideal for applications in physical random number generation.
