🚀👾 Just published a walkthrough of the "Explore" machine on Hack The Box! While pwning this machine, I realized something crucial: once you understand how the machine or app operates, it doesn’t matter if it’s IoT, OT, mobile, or web. Getting the hang of the target’s process is key. 🎯 Let me know what you think, and of course, if you have some tips, I would love to hear them! #CyberSecurity #EthicalHacking #HackTheBox #PT #Andorid #HTB

What do we do when we encounter malicious attacks now in a widely-used IoT networks? How do we optimise systems to better manage uncertainties and dynamism of data? Mustafa sabah investigates this interesting network security issue of high-dimensionality of data, including fluctuations of data over time. We specifically consider feature drift and the proposed mechanism intelligently selects features for the intrusion detection system (IDS) to manage and optimise the networks. You can read more here: https://lnkd.in/gC5m-Src Congrats Mustafa sabah, AP Dr RATNA KZ SAHBUDIN and AP Dr Fazirulhisyam Hashim on this accomplishment!

I had a really fruitful study session this past Friday completing a couple of #htb machines. Blocky showed me the importance of not reusing passwords. I studied how to use #burpsuite in ways I had not before, to complete Artic. Shocker explored the famous ShellShock vulnerability; and Valentine focused on thr HeartBleed vulnerability; while Granny was all about exploiting a webdav vulnerability to obtain LFI. And to deviate from typical machines, I was able to learn more about IoT vulnerabilities with Mirai. https://lnkd.in/eQQwhpRw https://lnkd.in/ehWuW95D https://lnkd.in/euFy99F8 https://lnkd.in/eB3Mc2fs https://lnkd.in/eghMyDqP https://lnkd.in/e6EggRXd

This paper analyzes the performance of #rate #splitting #multiple #access (#RSMA) technique for a multi-device communication system applying #integrated #sensing and #communication (#ISAC) to alleviate the problem of overlapping spectrum of radar signal and communication frequency bands. The system includes a cooperative #access #point (#AP) which serves as a sensing node and a #decode-and-#forward (#DF) relay to support the communication between a #mobile #device (#MD) and multiple #Internet-#of-#Things #devices (#IoDs). Assuming #Nakagami #fading #channels, the authors provide an extensive analytical framework to evaluate the dual functionalities of the system considering various scenarios with different assumptions on blocklength, #channel #state #information (#CSI), and #successive #interference #cancellation (#SIC). In other words, they consider both infinite and finite blocklength transmissions under practical impairments including imperfect CSI and SIC. They investigate the #outage #probability (#OP), and ergodic #sum #rate #assuming #infinite #blocklength, while the #block #error #rate (#BLER), and goodput are analyzed in the finite blocklength regime. The closed-form and asymptotic expressions for the OP and BLER are presented.----Sutanu Ghosh, Keshav Singh, Haejoon Jung, Chih-Peng Li, Trung Q. Anyone know about EMQX's Rules system? This EMQX Open Manufacturing Hub is certainly interesting. The link below offers a sign up for docker compose demo and it appears to have an SQL filter/forwarder to Timescale built into emqx's broker. Im wondering 2 things: 1.) is the Rules engine part of the standard emqx broker and is it nice? 2.) Is emqx really a good, free broker? I know some smart people who really like it and use it all the time but Im not too familiar with it. I do like the mqtt forwarding rule they show in the whitepaper and if its legit could be a compellin greason for me to look beyond mosquitto.
