Orange County Community Foundation’s Post

💗 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 💗 This October, the emblematic pink ribbons appear as the impact of breast cancer is brought to the forefront of national conversation. As reported by the National Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation, 1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. In 2023, an estimated 297,790 women and 2,800 men will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. Fortunately, due to the steadfast support and continuous progress in early detection and treatment methods, we have witnessed a remarkable surge in breast cancer survival rates in recent years. Today, the United States boasts a community of over 3.8 million breast cancer survivors, a testament to the strides made in the fight against breast cancer. Make an impact today by spreading awareness, support, and encouraging others to get screened. Together we can make a positive change.
