EU regulation 2021/782 (in effect since June 2023) seems to clearly stipulate that railway companies have to provide -realtime- information, including about ticket pricing.
What I don't get, is why there is such a big discrepancy between what the regulation states and what is actually in effect. Yes, the regulation leaves some room for interpretation and a few exits for in some situations but without any legal background I'd say we should be able to force all railway companies to make this kind of data available - in realtime!

Jon Worth you probably have some experience on this topic and may have had talks with Omio, trainline and the likes. Did they ever take any legal action?
I can see why European Sleeper would like Deutsche Bahn to have to sell its tickets - because they'd sell more tickets.
But there is another way. If DB does not want to develop tools for Europe wide booking, then free up the data to allow others to do it instead - which is what Omio and Trainline demanded from the Bundeskartellamt.

3moDo you know that you’re subbing at work to affirm that is embezzling OCTA money? Those are taxpayer dollars supposed to go to work for Transportion projects, but kickbacks and royalties are being paid from Koa Anderson work subbed out from WSP to Mr. Anderson royalty were paid to a certain project manager that works with OCTA is strange. They get away with it.
