A European first: from now on, we can transport petrochemical analysis samples by computer-controlled autonomous drones to our laboratories in the Port of Antwerp. ✈️ After more than 2 years of development and pioneering work, today we are celebrating this huge milestone. We offer this fast and safe service in collaboration with our partner ADLC in the Port of Antwerp. This makes us the first in Europe to transport petrochemical samples via drones from the customer to our laboratory, completely beyond the visual line of sight of the pilot! 🌍 Besides an international first, it is a big step forward in terms of sustainability. By replacing traditional road transport with drones, we are reducing CO2 emissions by as much as 80%. 🕓 On top of that, this reduces the transport time of the samples up to 6 times, increasing our own and our customer’s efficiency. This project would not have been possible without the cooperation of BASF Antwerpen, who facilitated this sustainable innovation. Thank you to everyone who made this possible!
