Happy Monday! What a great day some of us had (whilst others were working!) at the Denia D*na Gastronomic Festival on Saturday afternoon! It's nearly October, yet we’re still enjoying blue skies, sunshine, and summer vibes in beautiful Denia. The event was a true celebration of the Marina Alta region's rich culinary heritage, with an abundance of fantastic food and wines to sample, all while enjoying live music and the vibrant atmosphere. One of the highlights of the day was the chance to see some of the world’s top chefs in action, including our very own 3 Michelin-starred Quique Dacosta and Vicky Sevilla, the youngest woman in Spain to achieve a Michelin star. All of this set along the beach promenade of Marineta Cassiana, with the breathtaking Montgo mountain behind us and the Denia Castle across the water. It’s days like these that remind us why living here is such a joy—still soaking up the outdoor lifestyle, fantastic cuisine, and beautiful weather even though it is officially autumn. If you didn’t get a chance to read last week’s blog about the event, here’s the link again for all the details: https://lnkd.in/d7rfYjFS +34 683384750 spain@fineandcountry.com #fineandcountryspain #luxuryrealestate #luxuryhomes #lifestyleproperties #gastronomy #marinaalta #lifestyle #september

Wine vacations.... When we think about vineyards, the places that flashes in our minds are predominantly Western in nature - France, Italy, Spain ... Yet there are vineyards within Asia itself, with the more popular ones in China and India... Plus, we have a few surprises up the sleeve in places we didn't expect, for example : 1. Taunggyi, Shan State – Myanmar Located at an altitude of 1,200 metres, the land provides the ideal conditions for the craft of winemaking. Plus, the location of Shan State makes it part of South Himalayas with attractions nearby including the picturesque Inle Lake and the elaborate Kakku Pagodas. 2. Khao Yai – Thailand A landscape of mountains and green valleys, this region is also home to the Khao Yai National Park. Despite Thailand's tropical weather, the environment and temperature creates the perfect microclimate for growing high-quality grapes for winemaking. 3. Bali – Indonesia Now this is a place no longer foreign to its neighbours - famous for its various vacation friendly activities and also for oenophiles. You'll find wines from the hillside vineyard of Sanggalangit - while enjoying magnificient views from its observation decks! So next time if you're planning your vacation in these countries, include the vineyard tour in your itinerary as well! Photo by Tommaso Pecchioli on Unsplash

How did you do ? Tell me in the comments ! Answers : 1. The Lavaux Vineyards were first cultivated by Benedictine and Cistercian monks since 12th century. Their careful terracing of the steep slopes began the centuries-old tradition of winemaking in this region. 2. The total area of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lavaux are about 900 hectares of terraced vineyards, making it one of the largest contiguous vineyard regions in Switzerland. 3. Lavaux benefits from what is known as the "Three Suns": - Direct sunlight from the sky. - Reflected sunlight from Lake Geneva. - Heat retained and radiated from the stone walls of the terraces, which maintain a warm environment even in cooler months. 4. Chasselas is the predominant grape variety grown in Lavaux. Lavaux has a long-standing tradition of local wine festivals, where vintners open their cellars to the public. Check this new article about Lisbon food 😋😋
The destinations offer a wide range of cultural, historical, artistic and monumental offerings. They also offer moments and one of the best moments of a trip is the food time. Why? What we will always remember, besides the beauty of the surroundings is Where we ate and what we ate, unless you ate at a McDonald's, which you will simply forget immediately. That's why we recommend looking for and plan your meals well, look for authentic and good quality places. The work is worth it and you will never forget it. Thank you Filipa Leitão de Aguiar, MARGARIDA RUELA, Inês Bleck da Silva, Miguel Cruz Santos for some of the recommendations on how to eat and where to find good food in Lisbon #localsecrets, #lisbon, #localsecretslisbon, #gastronomy
