🚨 OSHA Compliance Alert: Are Your Fixed Ladders Up to Code? 🚨 Did you know that OSHA has updated requirements for fixed ladders? Here’s a quick guide to help you stay compliant and keep your teams safe. 🔹 For Fixed Ladders Less Than 24 Feet: No fall protection is required unless ladders are linked, creating a total climb over 24 feet. 🔹 For Fixed Ladders 24 Feet and Higher: New Installations (After Nov 19, 2018): Must have a personal fall arrest or ladder safety system—cages are no longer compliant. Existing Ladders with Cages (Before Nov 19, 2018): Cages can remain until Nov 18, 2036. After that, they need a ladder safety or personal fall arrest system. 🛠️ Inspection and Maintenance: Regular inspections are a must. Replace or repair any worn components to ensure compliance and safety. 💡 Key Takeaway: Ladder safety standards are changing! For any ladder exceeding 24 feet, employers need to ensure compliance with OSHA’s modernized fall protection requirements. #OSHA #SafetyCompliance #LadderSafety #FallProtection #WorkplaceSafety
