Cyberattack on Kansas City video highway monitoring system now estimated to take "months" to recover from damage. A few months ago, a local hospital was victimized by cybercriminals destroying that institution's credibility in our community. Community Banks and Credit Unions need to be aware that foreign entities are attacking U.S. infrastructure across the nation. It is imperative that you review and update your cyber defenses on a regular basis to avoid significant interruptions in your systems availability and other financial exposures. Now is the time to respond, not after criminals have penetrated your systems, extracted data and shut your financial institution down.
