Well, this is awkward. 👀 And it kind of hurts TBH. You invest time, energy, and emotion into applying for a job then you get this message: "We have decided to move forward with other candidates whose experience better match our needs." A week later the job is reposted. If you hired no one then you didn't exactly move forward, did you? Chances are you rejected some well-qualified candidates.
