Are you interested in designing spaces with more #sustainable and #efficient architectural choices in mind? We know that, depending on the perspective of #architects, builders, converters, and owners, efficiency relates to several requirements: from cost control to material usage, to long-term #durability, #energy, and heat & light management. At SABIC Functional Forms Solutions, all of these requirements intersect at one point or another. For this reason, we've developed the #LEXAN™ solid sheet and our LEXAN #THERMOCLEAR™ Multiwall sheets, known for their high strength-to-weight ratio and outstanding resistance to breakage. Here are a few reasons why our solutions are known to increase efficiency across the board: 👉 A high strength-to-weight ratio helps builders reduce transport and installation costs and is flexible for implementing wide-span #glazing designs with fewer supports 👉 LEXAN sheets outperform traditional construction materials in terms of longevity: every sheet comes with 10-20 years of written warranties against discoloration, loss of transparency, and loss of mechanical strength. 👉 Our sheets boast single or dual #UV protection, providing remarkable clarity, even after many years of intense #solar irradiation and weathering. Last, but not least, we keep resource efficiency and sustainability in mind at every step. Our LEXAN Sheet solutions are designed to drive circularity and mitigate resource depletion. As part of our sustainable portfolio and services, these sheet materials use mechanically recycled post-consumer material or certified renewable content from second-generation sources. Efficient & Sustainable Construction. Trisofix™, a simple to use patented universal mounting system, is a platform solution that can be used in combination with multiple panel systems and product types to create integrated fit out or façade systems. The efficiency of a Designed for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) approach to construction delivers considerable reductions in the carbon impact during installation. The Trisofix™ components, when combined with pre-finished panels and products, creates a kit of parts, that results in fewer deliveries to site and minimising on-site waste. With less trades and a condensed installation time on site, Trisofix™ can drastically reduce the number of labourer journeys and overnight accommodation stays during the finishing stages of a build. Trisofix™ enables products to be individually demounted and reinstalled time after time, facilitating relocation and reuse of wall panels. With a design life of up to 60 years, the mounting system enables buildings to be adapted and upgraded as future technologies emerge, minimising the waste and disruption typically associated with refurbishment. With all Trisofix™ components being steel based it’s 100% recyclable when it eventually needs replacing. How many insulation materials do you know? 🤔 There are lots of ways to insulate your building, but not all insulation is created equal! Let's break down the key categories and see where Kofaterm stands out: - Traditional Insulation: mineral wool, fiberglass, foam boards, etc. Effective, but often requires bulky installation within structures. 🏠 - Reflective Insulation & Radiant Barriers: Shiny surfaces designed to bounce heat away. Best for roofs/attics, less so for whole-building comfort. ☀️ - Advanced Coatings: Where Kofaterm shines! These products contain densely packed microspheres that reflect over 90% of thermal radiation conducted by electromagnetic waves in the full spectrum of visible light, including thermal (infrared) waves. Additionally, they are waterproof and breathable. Using our product will reduce your bills by a minimum of 40% 💸 Why choose Kofaterm? - Easier to apply than traditional or complex radiant systems 🛠️ - Combats heat with its superior reflection capabilities 🔥 - Adds a layer of protection against the elements ☔ - Long-term energy savings make it a wise investment 💡 Interested in learning more about how Kofaterm can transform your building's efficiency? As an example of the efficient use of materials referenced in the post below, we've recently completed BS 5234-2 load trials, showing that a 1200wide - 10.5mm Trimawall® prefinished panel using Trisofix™ as mounting system can withstand a 4kN (400kg) applied load in the "cupboard test". All the performance in one panel, no extra pattressing, no wet trades.

Some important questions for anyone involved with #glass partitioning on #construction/ #demolition projects for #REUSE NOW. Please take a few moments to comment if you can 🛠
For anyone in the construction industry that is involved in glass partitioning, could you please spare 5 minutes to answer the relevant Qs from the list below? Either on a quick call, email or event on LinkedIn messaging. ASBP Reuse Now is doing some #DeepDive research and it would be great to get a representative picture of where the wider industry is at. THANK YOU! #GlassManufacturers - How much internal flat glass do you get back from projects, do you encourage this to happen, and if so how? - How much demand is there for glass with recycled content? - Do you plan to work more closely with partitioning companies to get glass back moving forward, if not why not and how might the ASBP campaign help support that? #PartitioningManufacturers - Do you design for disassembly and reuse? - Do you already offer or have you been asked about take back schemes? - Do you already offer or have you been asked about leasing / product as a service models? - Do you support clients that want to reuse partitioning systems? #Architects_InteriorDesigners - Do you consider design for reuse, such as standardisation ? - Are clients asking for reuse? Do you encourage/discuss reuse with clients? - Are you aware of any manufacturers that support reuse? - Have you been involved in any projects that reuse materials? Specifically internal partitioning? #Demoltion_StripOut - Do your clients ask for deconstruction to be able to reclaim materials for reuse? - Have you ever been asked to deconstruct partitioning for reuse? - Have you ever been asked to ensure partitioning is closed loop recycled? #Clients - Do you encourage your design teams to design for disassembly? How/ contractually? - Do you encourage your design teams to design with/ specify reused materials? How/ contractually? - Have you ever reused partitioning? Would you consider it? If not why not? - Do you incentivise closed loop recycling? If not why not?
