Forsake a leaf, a vegetable and a fruit!! Many Hindus (especially those from the Southern part of India) when they visit Kashi/Varanasi, sacrifice (completely give up eating) their favourite vegetable, fruit or food item. It is just not only about giving up something you are very fond of. It is said to be done to limit our attachment to material things and bring one closer to spiritual enlightenment. In reality, a customary practice widely by most South Indians. People say that leaving Falaapeksha (Fal + Apeksha) & Kaayaapeksha(Kaya+Apeksha) in Kashi is the way to get Moksha. It means sacrificing Apeksha(=Desire) for Fal(प्रतिफल = gratitude/appreciation) & sacrificing desire on our body(kaya = body). Fal = Fruits & Kaya = Vegetable(Their favourite fruit and vegetable is left). Their is a very interesting story behind this happening truly a worthy reading. However the real intent of sacrificing lies in a more depth of spiritual knowledge to be understood, an spiritual insight very well explained. #NanduriSrinivas #vidyasunil #vidyasunilassociates #spiritual #spiritualawakening #spiritualjourney #spiritualgrowth #varanasi #kashivishwanathtemple #kashi #kashivishwanath #gaya #fruits #vegetables 🚩 Jai Shri Ram 🚩

We run to make Bosses happy, earn to have good homes, yearn to have beautiful mates & God knows we do all that matters to us... Well nothing bad in running after money, fame, house, wife, etc; but ever wondered whats that priceless thing we have been gifted with that most of us keep ignoring, well it's this BODY of ours, There's enough of science to prove that BODY is the most valued thing that we did not buy but we were gifted with, but apparently we tend to have shunned that in hells obscurity; just ask will we be able to regain our houses, Money, fame, etc yes it's our hard work that will make us win it back, but now ask what in case we lose our body parts, what in case of those cronic illness, we all know either mostly it becomes a gone case or requires that tremendous amount of wealth required to shower on the medical facilities in a so-called multi speciality medical unit. What better example can we come across than #Swami Sivanada who is 128years old standing straight, head held high & dedicated his entire life to his temple i.e. BODY through yoga; Feel grateful for his unwavering efforts were recognised & he got conferred with Padma Shri award; Want more facts, remember the COVID days, when the world was struggling to have means of safe air to breathe freely, YOGA was a saviour to lots, we believe it or not. This video also speaks on unwavering efforts, trust & dedication; consistency has got no other substitute & nothing can replace that; if we are loyal to the core to our believes it has to yield what we target for. *video credit goes to respective owner #social media #yoga #dedication

It is a time for reflection on Gautam Buddha teachings, with calmness being a central theme. Calmness is vital as it fosters inner peace, clarity, and compassion. It allows individuals to transcend turmoil and find a balanced perspective on life’s challenges. By embracing calmness, we honor the essence of Buddha's teachings, promoting harmony within ourselves and the world around us. This tranquil state enhances mindfulness and deepens our understanding of the interconnectedness of all beings, which is at the heart of Buddhist philosophy. Similarly, calmness is essential for all of us while we make investment decisions. We have to shun all noise and focus on our goal based investment strategy.

Why do we offer Milk and Water to #Mahadev? In our tradition, We Distinguish food stuff based on whether they are cooked or uncooked. Uncooked food is used for ritual cleansing (#Abhishekam) and cooked food is used for ritual offering (#Naivedhyam). When Milk is boiled it is considered "cooked". Thus it must be offered for Naivedhyam and not for Abhishekam. Boiled milk like all cooked foods spoils quickly. The milk for abhishekam is meant to stand for longer times out in the open. There is a high risk of boiled milk getting spoiled and becoming a hygiene risk.. There are More reasons why #Shiva is offered milk; 1. Milk holds significance as a Pure and sacred substance. It is believed to possess cleansing and purifying properties that can cleanse the mind and body of devotees when offered to Shiva. 2. Milk symbolizes Fertility and Abundance making it an auspicious offering for those seeking good fortune and prosperity from #Shiva. 3. Offering milk to #Shiva is also seen as a gesture of devotion and love towards the deity signifying the devotees affection. 4. In Hindu mythology it is said that during the churning of the ocean Lord Shiva consumed a poison that could have brought destruction upon the world. By drinking this poison he saved humanity. Hence offering milk to Lord Shiva is believed to help cleanse his body from that poison. 5. Lastly milk holds a place in Lord Shiva's preferences as it is considered one of his favorite foods. Therefore presenting him with milk is thought to bring joy and create a connection between the devotee and the deity.. ॐ नमः शिवाय 🔱🚩 #SanatanDharma #Hinduism #Kashi #Mahadev

#SnackingstoriesofIndia 1 Gol Gappe, Phuchka, Pani ka Bataasha or Patasha, Gup Chup, Phulki, Pakodi – all of these refer to one of India’s most beloved snacks, Pani Puri. A crispy hollow ball of fried dough filled with potato and immersed in spicy jal jeera and meetha chutney. Indian street food offers a diverse range of flavors, but Pani Puri stands out as a favorite. Whether bought from a street vendor or enjoyed at a wedding buffet, Pani Puri rarely disappoints. Pani Puri estimated market size in India is 6000 Cr. , which is growing at a CAGR of 20%. 12th July is celebrated as Pani puri day in India. The exact origin of Pani Puri remains uncertain. One legend suggests its creation in the ancient Indian kingdom of Magadha. Magadha, one of the sixteen mahajanapadas, encompassed what is now Southern Bihar and played a significant role in the development of Jainism, Hinduism, and Buddhism. Ancient Magadha's Pani Puri, known as 'Phulki,' featured smaller and crispier puris filled with variations of aloo sabzi. Another legend traces Pani Puri's origin to the Mahabharata, where Draupadi is said to have invented it during her exile. According to the story, Kunti challenged Draupadi to create a dish satisfying all five Pandava brothers with limited ingredients. In response, Draupadi invented Pani Puri, earning Kunti's admiration and blessing for the dish's immortality. The true creator of Pani Puri remains unknown, leaving us to ponder its origins. Nevertheless, its popularity and deliciousness are undeniable, making it a sought-after snack for many. What do you call this snack in your town and how many can you eat in one go ?
