Because there’s more supply than demand in the market, which makes it very cost-effective to hire experienced people. But that’s very short term thinking, which can lead to a massive shortage of talent in the coming years. Companies - balance your roles and hire more early-career people. We need to grow the next generation.

Making our first hire was one of the hardest things we've had to do... It was more about gut feeling than hard evidence. Fast forward to now, and the scenario has dramatically shifted.
