Every pitch, every negotiation, and every attempt to get a "yes" from a skeptical audience builds your reputation in the market. It’s not just about your product; it’s about 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐮𝐩—your persistence, your adaptability, and your ability to inspire belief. If your startup doesn’t take off, those who’ve witnessed your journey should think: "𝘞𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮." Remember: 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲. Your investors and customers are watching how you handle rejection, refine your story, and persevere. 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧. The way you engage with stakeholders reflects your understanding of human needs—key to any sales role. 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧. Founders who fail fast and learn faster often have insights worth their weight in gold. The real takeaway? 𝑫𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒂 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒑—𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇. Even if the product doesn’t scale, your personal growth and credibility can. Effort at that level creates opportunities no matter the outcome. To all the founders out there: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐞? Let’s discuss below.

Another in the "helping a friend with hiring" series... Co-Founder & CEO - HealthTech / Marketplace I'm helping two incredibly accomplished entrepreneurs find a CEO & Co-Founder for a venture they've been researching for the past few months. The problem space is clear - they're now looking for a driven & entrepreneurial person to execute on the idea while being mentored & funded by two of the most impressive people I've ever met (my description!). This is different to most other founding journeys - you will run the business, be able to draw a reasonable salary from day 1 and will own a majority stake in the business. They want someone who does well in this role to have significant upside. A founding team (e.g. there’s more than one of you) would also be considered. JD: https://lnkd.in/eH_NVQ3r Application: https://lnkd.in/eNXav98j A bit more about what the ideal profile is someone who: - Has previously founded a business, been a critical employee in the early scaling of a business, or is coming from a Tier-1 consulting firm and looking to start their own entrepreneurial journey - Is a Strategy, GTM, and Execution machine (with emphasis on acquiring B2C customers) - A brilliant communicator & constant learner (Healthcare experience is not a must, but you'll need to learn lots, quickly).

I met up with Roger J Comstock and he revealed his 4-step framework for ZERO DOLLAR startup! What a killer conversation. Great guy! He’s on a mission to help sales reps “DITCH THE DOORS AND SALES FLOORS” to pursue financial freedom through entrepreneurship! (Totally aligned with Salespreneur Stories) Bootstrapped founders I've interviewed are INCREDIBLE at validating and monetizing without spending TONS of money. Here’s how Rog teaches to do it on a $0 budget: 1/ Find customers - we're looking for local service-based businesses with bad websites, but are somewhat established. You're in sales, pick up the phones and try it out. 2/ Create a marketing package - you can run Google ads, build website, or lead gen. You don't have to be an expert at any of these, just keep reading! 3/ Bill upfront - smart right? you shouldn't spend money on the business until you have a customer, so bill upfront 4/ Hire a "pocket partner" - which is his term for an outsourced partner to help run the operations at a fraction of the cost. He's got a team that runs all of his stuff at a good rate. Some might know this as "Service-Based Arbitrage", but the framework is gold. The principle is "get people committed to buying stuff and then build it". This same framework can work for anything. Ps - he's also hiring for a part/full-time remote closer right now, shoot him a dm!

BUILDING A DREAM TEAM ON A DREAM BUDGET? Hey fellow entrepreneurs! Let's face it, when you're starting out, you can't always attract top talent with years of experience. But, that's okay! Because, the truth is, those with the experience and qualifications are probably already working for big companies and aren't ready to join your startup just yet. So, what's the solution? Learn to work with the young and inexperienced! Whether it's a brother, cousin, or friend, give them a chance to grow with your business. For example, let's say you need a social media manager, but can't afford a seasoned pro. Consider hiring a recent grad or a young enthusiast who's eager to learn and grow with your company. With some guidance and training, they can become a valuable asset to your team! Remember, building a successful business is all about adaptability and creativity. So, don't be afraid to think outside the box and give someone a chance to shine! #EntrepreneurLife #StartUpSuccess #DreamTeam #SmallBusiness #LeadershipGoals #TeamBuilding #EntrepreneurMindset #BusinessGrowth #HiringTips #TeamWorkMakesTheDreamWork

Mil/Vets: want to run your own business? Awesome! Here are my TOP 4 recommendations after 4 years of doing it: 1️⃣ Get relevant industry experience first. 2️⃣ Identify the market need for your solution. 3️⃣ Make sure you're comfortable being in a 100% sales role. 4️⃣ Seek input from those that have actually done it. I'm seeing lots of what feels like "over glamorization" of startup life & too many folks selling "easy buttons" to get there. Sometimes, starting in small, steady ways is the best path. 💙, an accidental co-founder figuring it out as we go

🤯 I never thought I'd learn this much about sales in just one month… I used to think sales was just about pitching a product, closing a deal, and moving on to the next. But after a month at Reef Labs, I’ve realized it’s something completely different. Sales is about people. It’s about relationships. It’s not about convincing someone to buy your service—it’s about understanding, listening, and finding the right solutions. Through my conversations with clients, I’ve learned that every startup has a story—unique challenges, big ambitions, and a vision they’re working tirelessly to bring to life. And the right tech partner? That can make all the difference. Reef Labs helps turn ideas into scalable businesses, giving busy entrepreneurs the support they need to actually make their vision a reality. Getting to be part of that journey has been eye-opening. Excited to keep growing with Reef Labs. If you’re looking to scale, let’s connect. 🚀

Where to Find a Sales Cofounder for Your Startup Success? #StartupJourney #CofounderSearch #SalesLeadership Hey everyone! 👋 I’m in a bit of a pickle right now and could really use your insights. I’m the founder of a pre-MVP startup in the legal space, gearing up for our launch at the end of January. I’ve got an amazing tech team of four, but sadly, I’m missing a key player—a sales head. My previous cofounder had to leave unexpectedly due to personal reasons, and I’m feeling the pressure! Why is finding a sales cofounder so crucial? 🤔 Cold Calling is Key: Our initial success has heavily relied on cold calling, which accounts for about 95% of our leads. Without a dedicated sales person, I’m juggling a lot—a developer, team leader, and now, the main sales contact. Time Crunch: I’m stretched thin as I balance development tasks and engaging with beta users. Cold calling is time-consuming, and I can’t effectively manage both roles. Quality versus Quantity: Without someone focused solely on sales, I fear we might miss out on potent... Answers: https://lnkd.in/gqjEiRq2 Let's Connect!

Ready to Co-Found a Revenue-Driven Business Together? #CoFounderSearch #BusinessGrowth #Entrepreneurship #StartupJourney Hey, everyone! 👋 I’m reaching out because I’m currently on the lookout for a co-founder to help grow my venture, Lynkle, which I launched in March 2024. 🎉 Lynkle is all about being user-friendly and privacy-focused, and I’m thrilled to share that we’ve already attracted over 1,500 users, including a core group of happy paying customers! But here's the thing—I've been handling everything solo, from marketing and product development to customer support and engineering, even though my background is purely technical. 🚀 So, why am I seeking a co-founder? I'm ready to venture into the small and medium-sized business market, where I see huge opportunities for growth. 💡 I've been receiving countless inbound enquiries from businesses eager to buy licenses for their teams, which is a strong indicator of demand. What am I looking for in a co-founder? Passion & Drive: Someone who’s equally excited about building a delightfu... Answers: https://lnkd.in/gC8Ky-Az .
