Wondering if InRoof projects can handle wind speeds of 180 km/hr? Watch this video from a storm in Bhubaneswar—proof that our structures are built to last! #OrnateSolar #InRoof #SolarEnergy #OrnateInRoof
We often get asked by companies if the InRoof structures we build are wind tunnel tested. Since we’re yet to find a testing facility to test this for us without burning a hole in our pockets, the only answer we have is that they are field tested. Unfortunately though it’s rare that we have someone present at one of our sites at the exact moment that a storm hits. So we don’t normally have experimental proof to validate the simulations that prove that our structural components can withstand wind speeds of 180 km/ hr. Luckily, today when a storm hit Bhubaneswar - we didn’t just have one of our engineers at the site - he also had the presence of mind to pull out his phone and record this while taking shelter under the InRoof. Now, the next time we’re asked if our structures can withstand wind speeds of 180 km/ hr, we will have this video to prove that the InRoof can actually withstand high wind speeds. And 180 isn’t just a random number on a piece of paper 🙂 Ornate Solar - APL Apollo Tubes Ltd. #InRoof #BIPV #Solar
