Here at #ClimateWeek in New York, I had the opportunity to meet and interact with leaders from government, civil society, and companies, all of whom are focused on finding solutions to address climate change and the many challenges we face. My key takeaway? Everyone is tired of simply talking about the problems — we need to take action. After an inspiring day meeting people from all over the world, I was so grateful to see a great example from our Vegetables by Bayer team in Spain, who are making significant strides toward sustainability and regenerative agriculture. I’m incredibly proud of the work Alejandro Caravaca Morella and our R&D and Product Supply teams are doing in Almería and globally. Our mission is to provide solutions that enable regenerative agriculture for our grower customers, but we know that to truly make a difference, we must lead by example — starting within our own operations. Walk the talk. Sometimes, small solutions can have a ripple effect, like this innovative example helping to reduce microplastic waste in the environment. Recently, the technical team and R&D department attended a session on the preparation of 'compost tea', a key technique for resource reuse in agricultural operations. 🌿 During this session, the team learned to craft this valuable 'tea', derived from greenhouse and compost vegetable remains, which becomes a nutrient-rich solution for crops.
