We are saddened to share that the National Drowning Report 2024 shows that: 🔵 323 people drowned in Australian waterways 🔵 26% of drownings were at beaches and 25% at rivers 🔵 28% were aged 65 years and over 🔵 Between the ages of 10 and 20 drowning rates increase tenfold 🔵 83 people who drowned were born overseas This report is a reminder that water safety and drowning prevention starts at home, in schools and at local swimming pools.
