Hey, what's going on guys? It's low, so we are packing over 200 backpacks for the youth in our community. The OSEK Foundation in the Ottawa Red Blacks want to ensure that no student goes to school this school year with an empty backpack.
Why Toast to the Town?
As we gear up for our second annual gala, "Toast to the Town," hosted by the CLG Foundation, it's essential to reflect on the "why".
The CLG Foundation was established with a clear purpose: to support and uplift disadvantaged youth in our community by fostering entrepreneurship. With programs designed to provide motivation and education, we're committed to giving every child, regardless of their background, the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
But why a gala, you might wonder?
Simply put, events like "Toast to the Town" serve as more than just fundraising opportunities. They're a celebration of community, of unity, and of our shared commitment to making a difference. By coming together, we not only raise vital funds for our cause but also amplify our impact and reach.
So, as we prepare to raise our glasses once again at this year's gala, let's remember why we're here: to ignite passion, to inspire change, and to ensure that every child has the opportunity to pursue their dreams.
Cheers to entrepreneurship. Cheers to community. Cheers to making a difference. 🥂
As the end of the Illuminate campaign draws to an end, I think I've exhausted my pitch on giving back to Union just to give back and support Union.
So, how about this: What does giving back to Union do for you?
Giving back and supporting Union builds YOUR brand.
The more support Union receives, the more high quality candidates The College can admit, the better athletics teams it can field, all while keeping those world-class professors on campus.
All of that helps you. The stronger Union College's brand is, the stronger your degree and brand are.
Please consider donating to The Union Fund today.

Thank you, #SFGiants fans! 🎉
Because of your incredible support, we raised a record-breaking $2.1 million through our 50/50 Raffle this season.
Thank you for helping us to empower youth to be Giants on the field, in the classroom and in the community.🧡
Greatful to serve as the Board Chair for such an active and involved “community profit” company called Pro-Se Potential.
One of our community outreach events was featured on the Back to Besa show with FOX news capture by the ever active Converge Media Team. Check it out in the link below.
Our mission is to help our youth outperform their current environments.
While we have a wide reach a majority of our children and families exist in King and Pierce Counties.
If you want to get involved we have a Gala coming up November 2nd. Contact me for details.
How do we heal a nation?
Listen to the needs of the states.
How do we heal the states?
Listen to the needs of the counties
And the counties?
Listen to the needs of the cities
And how do we heal the cities?
Listen to the needs of the families.
And how do we shape a better future?
Listen to needs of the children and serve.

● Help Support the Kids’ Chance Mission During Awareness Week 2024.
● Every Action Makes a Difference in These Kids’ Lives.
When a worker gets injured on the job, it doesn’t just affect them — it affects their entire family, especially their kids. That’s why our 50 Kids’ Chance state organizations provide scholarships and support to the kids of workers who have been injured on the job. We want to ensure these kids can complete their education and go on to fulfilling and gainful careers. Since 1988, Kids’ Chance state organizations have awarded over 10,000 scholarships totaling over $36 million dollars. But we know there are more kids in need of assistance.
Kids’ Chance Awareness Week is a time when every member of the Kids’ Chance community can support our mission, these families, and these kids. By coming together one week each year, we concentrate our efforts, which boosts our volume. This year, Kids’ Chance Awareness Week is November 18-22, 2024. Join our national movement for one day or for the whole week.
Here’s what you can do to support our mission during Awareness Week:
● Make a donation to Kids’ Chance of Connecticut www.kidschancect.org and challenge your colleges to do the same.
● Spread the word about Kids’ Chance on social media using #KidsChanceofCT and #MoreMoneyforMoreKids
A Vision Beyond Lenses
When Afolabi Ajimoti started More Than Lenses Edu., it was simply about connecting with young minds, sharing creative skills, and letting them see the world through a new lens—one that sparks imagination and opportunity. It was an instinct, an impulse to give back. Over time, though, the mission has grown deeper and more defined.
We’ve come to realize that equipping kids from low-income families with skills in media and art is only one part of the equation. Without access to quality education, these talents can only take them so far. It’s why, through More Than Lenses Educational Foundation, we’re committed to doing more, stepping up to help cover school fees so these kids don’t have to choose between education and survival.
But now, we need to approach this work with intention and commitment, creating a lasting impact that transforms lives and communities. To be deliberate in making this dream a reality, we need your help. Whether it’s through donations, partnerships, or simply spreading the word, every bit of support brings us closer to reaching more children, opening more doors, and giving them a future brimming with possibility.
Together, we can create something powerful—more than just a foundation, a movement for change.

This is one of nine slightly smaller grants we are making in partnership with software and tech firms to learn from and amplify the projects they support to build the tech talent pipeline.
As so much of our work is ultimately about getting people from underrepresented backgrounds high quality jobs in tech, it makes sense to work with employers who between them employ tens of thousands of people.
Each of the programmes are great in their own right, but in time we hope some will be suitable to scale further.
codebar is a brilliant non profit that has already achieved so much with limited resources — so we are delighted to be helping build their capacity to do even more in partnership with Access Foundation.
Thanks to Priya Bryant and Gemma Collins for leading on our side — and Rob Parkinson for introducing us in the first place!
Huge thanks too to Dawn Marriott , Elona Mortimer-Zhika , Brittani (Gagnon) Shaw and Lea Saunders at Hg for driving this strand of our work.
We are delighted to be joining forces with The Access Foundation to support codebar, a charity that facilitates the growth of a diverse tech community by running free regular programming workshops for minority groups in tech.
The Hg Foundation will build on The Access Foundation’s existing support for codebar, providing £52,000 in matched funding to grow codebar’s capacity. With new Community Manager and Volunteer Coordinator posts, codebar will double the number of new community members signing up from 2,500 to 5,000 per year, as well as starting eight new codebar branches in the UK.
