I came across a job posting for a HSE engineer vacancy at construction company in Egypt and I was appalled by the ridiculous KPIs they listed in the job description. They are unrealistic and unachievable. They clearly show that the company has no clue about what they expect from a safety professional or how to apply a safety management system. These KPIs are not only impossible to meet, but also harmful. They will create a culture of fear and blame, discourage reporting and learning from incidents, and undermine the trust and cooperation between the management and the workers. They will also divert the attention and resources from the actual safety issues and risks that need to be addressed. I wonder who wrote these KPIs and what qualifications they have. It seems like they have no idea about the principles and practices of safety engineering and management. They probably copied and pasted some generic KPIs from the internet without any customization or consultation. This is a sign of poor leadership and incompetence. I urge all the safety professionals who are looking for a job to avoid this company at all costs. They do not value your skills and expertise, and they will not provide you with a safe and supportive work environment. They will only set you up for failure and frustration. You deserve better than this.

Dear all LinkedIn HSE Professionals I wanted to let you know about my recently interviews experince for KSA for Solar and Wind Projects , I am really amazed to see the behaviour of HSE approving companies HSE Professionals of Solar and Wind in Saudi Arabia, I gave 2 interviews in KSA for a Solar Project and a Wind Project. A client approving company EHS person got my interview more than 35 minutes for Wind Project in KSA, despite giving his each question answer you are not approved by the client. Reason of Rejection: When the interviewer has the 1st project of his life which is just started now but the interviewing candidate has more than 10 Wind Projects experience working with international Leaders IFC, CDC and FMO, who are working all around the world so you can guess the expertise of Interviewer who has rejected the candidate. I request all approving client HSE Professionals kindly do not show your performance to your company that you have rejected some HSE Professionals Cvs, kindly be humle and do justice with interviewing candidates👏👏 #hseprofessionals #approvinghseprofessionals

Review Contractor deliverables such as; schedules, progress measurement sheets, construction sequence of work, P6 reports/resource levelling Responsible developing/updating level 1, 2 & 3 project schedules, project dashboards, project databases, weekly & monthly reports and division KPI's. Identify potential delays, project risks, analyse data/provide recommendations to ensure the projects are completed on time/within budget
