React Developer building a portfolio of React web apps using component-based architecture & Redux and sharing everything I learn along the way. Follow me for posts about the process.

3 years ago, I left my ₦3,000/day contract work. It was very challenging. I didn't know if I should leave. I had no time for growth. I had no time for my health. I had no time to build my future. I was working 14 hours "everyday". I had to leave. I had no job again. I had no community. I had no skill or money. It was either I get a new job or I bet on myself. I chose the latter & decided to learn how to code. I was doing it the wrong way till I met a friend ...and a snr developer on LinkedIn who was a guide Then I started building Frontend projects with React.js Now... I develop enterprise level projects using React. I get to connect with family, friends & community. I work from anywhere I want to and give in my best. My advice? If you want the freedom you desire... ↳ You have to bet on yourself. ↳ Take the risk and step out. → Only you can make this thing work. You might win. I'm rooting for you.❤️ P.S. Tag that 1 person below who has helped you become a better version of yourself. I'm tagging 2 Developers.

📌 LET'S TALK. Everyone tells you to be consistent. It's NOT easy, especially on LinkedIn. You have to show up & feel like giving up some times AND still show up. I think 1 trait that is now important for me to learn is patience. The ability to put in the reps even when you haven't seen the results. Do you feel this too?

Omo bro. I wish I had one but I have learned to struggle alone Does that mean I haven't been helped by an experienced person in the industry No Once a while I face any bug that I couldn't resolve after many trials I reached out for help and I could count how many times cause I'm not use to asking for help. But I spend more time debugging alone and my best buddy is Chat Gpt.

What an inspiring story! It's important to step out of your comfort zone and stretch yourself because there is actually no success in your comfort zone. It's good to play safe, but successful people understand that they need to take some risks to achieve tangible results. Thank you for sharing your story with us, Favour Osim . You just gained a follower.

Most times you may need to step out of your comfort zone to get better results... It will not be convenient but it will definitely be worth it in the long run...
