Attending RE+ Events for the first (or nth) time and having a hard time sifting through the 1426 booths and zeroing in on what to attend and how to plan it? Here's something I made out of a personal need today that you may find useful: https://lnkd.in/gsjXC6Jw It - lets you use view through all 1426 booths along with their descriptions, locations + booth numbers (where available) in just one page. - also has keyword search so you can use that beyond the sector/tech/location filters to help you narrow down on what you want. - it's also available offline (because another attendee told me internet connectivity can be flaky during the session. Note: just don't refresh the page when you lose internet access), and - you can bookmark companies you're interested in and they'll be saved regardless of internet connectivity. I was going through the app and website after I got here today as a first time attendee but found that I had to click through each company page separately to read what they do, and on top of that, mapping them to where they were was difficult as well, so I was looking for a way to do this faster, and this product came out of that. The RE+ connect app and website offer many useful features. This (not official) page was built to solve just one purpose - finding relevant company and booth info easily in one place when moving around, which I figured others might want as well so I'm posting it here.

⚠️ Update on Patchwork for Server Admins We want to build a tool that gives back to the Fediverse - the community responsible for laying the foundations of new social media. But we have a small dev team and multiple exciting projects underway. So, we need to make some hard choices. We’re putting everything into getting Channel.org - our tech enabled membership organisation - live this year. We’re also working on opening up the technology behind this so anyone can build a Fediverse Custom Feed (launching soon 🤞). That’s why Patchwork, our server enhancement tool, will not be available until 2025. But we’re looking forward to seeing what comes next and to more major milestones coming up soon. Do you host files in Cloudflare R2? Check out this project for a better file management experience: https://r2explorer.dev/ When I migrated from Wordpress to 11ty for bayton.org back in 2022 (https://lnkd.in/evJTZrdp) I needed to find a new solution for hosting files and media. I didn't fancy necessarily dumping gigs worth of content into the GitHub repo (https://lnkd.in/ej8-RcW3), and without a VPS or other permanently online hub for storage I ended up turning to a CDN. Initially I opted to migrate to a CDN of the hosting provider I was using for the old Wordpress site at the time, but later found Cloudflare's R2 (https://lnkd.in/eHm_ZDFk) was brand new and a more attractive offering in both price and wider CF integration. But file management sucked, and I'm rubbish with leveraging APIs, so for years now I've been popping files into the CF web console for R2 and it's a generally an underwhelming experience. R2 Explorer offers a user experience similar to that of other Cloud Storage platforms, and ties into CF Access for permission control (or basic auth if you want to use that). It's night and day now; managing files in R2 is superb. Setup was a piece of cake also. This was a very low-effort, high-reward weekend project! · 34/365
