I can review some examples from your post. "a stunted attempt to undermine Māori rights" is a mischaracterisation of the intent of the Bill. It may be your assessment, but it is not what the person who has introduced the Bill has said and what is included in the preamble to it. "...to write out Māori" is a recourse to fearmongering, emoting and exaggeration. The Bill is aimed at arriving at a consensus for how New Zealand courts and the government itself interprets the Treaty. You should be aware that one of the reasons David Seymour stated he introduced the Bill, one example, was that different government departments have interpreted and applied the Treaty differently. He says, correctly, that this is not appropriate, and at the very least the NZ government should be on the same page when interpreting and applying the Treaty, which is one of the founding documents of New Zealand. Finally, at the end of your post you referred to "racism, fascism, and nationalism" which are also exaggeration and interestingly similiar to TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) where similar claims are made without evidence.
I see a disturbing lack of content on the Hikoi mō Te Tiriti today. Surely some amount of politics is relevant to our modern society…if people are afraid to speak out then we need to strengthen our #resistance or we will be overridden by fear, isolation, and the subsequent dismantling of a free #democracy. It’s hard to understand the rhetoric sometimes so I will do my best to give you my point of view as an expat American and environmentally-focused venturist who left California and happily calls New Zealand home for the past 15 years. ACT’s Treaty Principles bill is being proposed by far right guy David Seymour and enabled by the National coalition government, as a stunted attempt to undermine Māori rights. This bill seeks to amend New Zealand’s founding document (a constitution) to write out Māori, which is fanning the flames of the systemic inequalities already felt across the country. This negative and aggressive rhetoric and divisive maneuvering is a way for these guys to claim more attention to their minority and gain followers and power, and is reminiscent of bad politics overseas. Let’s be clear that the same forces that allowed Trump back into the White House are here in #Aotearoa. Burying our heads in the sand is not a way to deal with uprising #nationalism #racism and #fascism. Live: Day three and the hīkoi prepares to cross Auckland Harbour Bridge

TPBDS (Treaty Principles Bill Derangement Syndrome) is characterised by an initial reflex to hearing the words 'Treaty Principles Bill'. It leads to rumours, exaggeration, emoting, irrational fearmongering and name-calling. Basically a loss of the ability to discuss facts or logical arguments. This would include, for example telling the government it is not allowed to discuss, debate or further define the important legislation and legal rulings of our country.
