If you're a tech startup, working long hours doesn’t guarantee success. [𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 40𝗵/𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸, 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱 ⬇ ] As a founder, you need to be honest with yourself. Do you work on things that matter the most only?? It’s time to focus on what really matters and moves the needle forward. Here is what I would do instead: ✅ Prioritize tasks that 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵, not just busy work ✅ 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀 to free up time for innovation ✅ Align your team’s efforts with 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 that impact the business Don’t just fill your week—make every hour count by focusing on what truly makes a difference. Don't waste your money and time. --------------------------------------------- 🚀 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽𝘀: https://t.ly/gaTBP

If you look at my photo below, you’ll understand how I feel every time I need to schedule an external group call, when I spot a double booking on one of my multiple calendars, or when someone books me via Calendly during what I thought was my focus time. I’m sure many founders, executives, and investors can relate to that. And yes, I don’t have a personal assistant right now, which makes it even more challenging 🙈 What’s most surprising is that in 2024, we still don’t have a real solution for this. I’ve identified 15+ startups working on “better Calendly” tools, but none seem bold enough to tackle the bigger goal: creating an AI-powered personal assistant who helps you become more productive and as a result happier version of yourself. It’s like building faster horses instead of inventing a car -we’ve seen this before 100 years ago. So I’ve decided to validate this idea and see if my personal struggle is also a pain point for other high-performers. If you’re interested, please drop a + in the comments, and I’ll send you a short survey that takes just 3 minutes to complete, helping me validate this concept 🙏

Is it time to say goodbye to the “No Hello Rule”? ❌👋 In #startups, time is valuable. That’s why many companies are adopting the “No Hello Rule” – skipping formal greetings in digital communication to save time and stay focused. It sounds good in theory, but we haven’t implemented this rule in our internal Kickresume communication. Why? I think there are bigger time-wasters in the office: copy machines, coffee machines, data projectors, commuting to work, meetings that could have been emails, MS Teams and Google Meets that often don’t work properly, and so on... If a colleague simply sends you “hi” without asking anything, you can respond with a quick emoji, signaling them to send a follow-up. It takes about a second. Do you agree, or am I missing something? Let me know in the comments below.

Ok, we really f*cked up.... 😬 So, we recently iterated a little on the two ways we help startup people teams... 1️⃣ Community (A.K.A "Individual membership") 2️⃣ On-Demand, monthly support to help you design, build & manage your culture (which we called 'company membership') Crucially, both are specifically for people teams... but cater for different needs... Now here's the f*ck up... 😅 SO many people have since assumed 'company membership' = 'something all our employees access", rightly saying "nope, we don't need that". Cue many late nights, and an unplanned further iteration from us to reposition & message the work we do with people teams outside of community membership...🥁 👉 "On Demand Culture Design" 👉 For Busy Startup People Teams" 👉 £299pm ($379) | Rolling monthly, built flexibly for startups 💭 Picture this.. You're a small startup people team, spinning multiple plates, stretched thin and trying to learn as you go. You want to pour your heart into people experience & culture but you're drowning in ER & compliance. You lack the time, support & insight you need to do this well. We have built this intentionally for you 🖤… 👉 Monthly Culture Design Sessions for you & your people team 👉 Between sessions we work asynchronously to research, ideate, prototype, build with & for you. 👉 2x coaches (Me & John) on-demand, in your pocket to help you navigate those unexpected, flammable moments that stress-test trust. 👉 Access to some incredible diagnostics, data & benchmarks to bring colour & context to your people roadmap. 👉 + an entire peer-community in your corner on Slack, with 1x community membership; events, roundtables, and 240+ mind-blowingly incredible people peers. Here's the clincher... If you've not worked with us before, the first session is on us so you can put us to the test first 🙂 Check out the new page & book in some time with us through there! ☕ 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eeyhBBP5
